Phare Circus is more than a conventional acrobatic circus. The artists create and perform stories based on their own life experiences. Drawing from recent history, folklore and modern society, the artists blend drama, dance, live music and circus arts to share a part of their lives with audiences.
The performers come from unimaginably difficult social and economic background. They discover and develop their skills at Phare Ponleu Selpak non-profit school. They are able to earn a good living and transform their lives at Phare Circus, breaking the cycle of poverty.
By attending a Phare Circus show, you enjoy Siem Reap's best live entertainment, financially support the school and provide opportunities for Cambodian artists.

Phare, The Cambodian Circus
Experience Cambodia's most unique, authentic live entertainment by the graduates of Phare Ponleu Selpak non-profit school. Phare is more than a conventional acrobatic circus. Performers use theater, live music, dance and modern circus arts to tell uniquely Cambodian stories; historical, folk and modern. The artists create the stories themselves based on the real-life experiences of themselves and their families. Expect the unexpected. NOTE: Phare Insider guests should arrive by 6:15pm for the backstage visit to the artist, technician and costume work areas.

4.00This is a great venue. There’s a shop and restaurant you can visit before the show. Circus tent wasn’t too hot when we visited but they provide fans on arrival and issue small towels which you can take home. Performers were very skilled and made everything look so easy. No nets are used. It’s a mixture of acting and circus tricks which works well. Good for something different while in Siem Reap. Performance lasts approx 1 hour and photos can be taken with the troop after the show. We enjoyed our visit.

2.00I agree with many others that the acrobatics of the show are overshowed by the unnecessary and not child appropriate attempts at jokes based on affairs, homosexuality and alcohol abuse. It is a shame as the show could be great and these references are not needed. Many members of the audience were visibly uncomfortable as actors approached males and made inappropriate advances. Not needed or funny, it takes away from the athletic abilities of the performers.

5.00Phare Circus in Siem Reap was absolutely amazing ! The performance was energetic, emotional, funny, and incredibly talented from start to finish. The combination of live music, storytelling, theater, and acrobatics created such a unique and unforgettable experience. The artists were amazing and their passion truly shined on stage. We loved how the show shared Cambodian culture and history in such a creative and modern way. The atmosphere was lively, well organized, and suitable for all ages. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Siem Reap definitely worth spending an evening here!

Phare Circus is much more than a circus performance — it is a beautiful combination of Cambodian culture, storytelling, live music, and incredible acrobatics. The performers are extremely talented, energetic, and passionate, making the whole show emotional, entertaining, and inspiring at the same time. The atmosphere was fantastic, and every moment kept us amazed. I also truly appreciate the meaningful mission behind the organization, supporting Cambodian youth through art and education. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Siem Reap. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

5.00I didn't know what to expect, but I ended up delighted; it is a circus created by young artists who not only perform incredible acts but also tell a story through the show. The food is also delicious. It is definitely an activity worth considering when you visit Siem Reap.

5.00Phare circus in Siem Reap. So entertaining. Comedy, aerobatics & funny. Local people entertaining nightly. The best ticket is $38 US. Get a front row seat. They also train kids for Apsara dancing & raise money for local children providing skills & future employment
