We start from the most visited spot in Belgium and UNESCO heritage site: Grand Place of Brussels. we will stretch the history of the place since it was a market surrounded by the wooden houses before it went into gothic and baroque architecture like today. We will study together facades and obviously we have to go through the history of famous people lived there.
Les Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert
The first shopping mall in the world. It is the same age as Belgium. We will stretch a success history of one architect dreamed once about this building and he did his best to realize it through hard work and a network of contacts. 5.00Gamaal was an exceptionally engaging guide and true host for the City of Brussels. He used the city's architecture as a base from which to introduce us into Belgian History, Culture, and Society. The range of his knowledge was astounding. But even more impressive was the way that he found to "tell the story" of Brussels. His easy-going manner and willingness to discuss a range of subjects really made our time together special and will give us lasting memories.
