National parks are very rarely within a city, and yet Bukhansan Mountain was designated as the 15th national park of Korea in 1983. Bukhansan National Park boasts of many gorges and granite peaks with crystal clear streams flowing between them. Hiking to the summit can be challenging and can take between 4-6 hours subject to individual pace.

5.00Brandon was fabulous! We had the most amazing day! He showed us how to get to the summit and provided food and tea. The climb was so much fun, and we were thrilled to take our picture at the summit!
We had a fantastic hiking experience with Jimmy! He was incredible! Such a wonderful guide!

5.00Brandon was a brilliant tour guide. He dropped us and off and picked us up directly from our central Seoul hotel. He told us lots of information about the peak, and provided a lovely sushi roll and tea lunch. We did the main peak - and it WAS a challenge not for the feint hearted. But it felt a wonderful achievement to reach the top and we have some great photos to prove it.

5.00We had the Best Guide for this tour “Jimmy”. Without stress punctual pickup at the hotel and with a balanced rest he accompanied us to the Bukhansan. Organized water and lunch on the go. It was a great tour - Thanks Jimmy - You are the best guide 👍

5.00Our guide Brandon made things easy for us - pick up at hotel, right on time, great conversation and a solid hiker on the trail. Great english and funny personality. Lots of different trails to choose from and he picked a quiet one for the trip down the mountain, which was nice because it was a busy day. Thanks for a memorable trip!

5.00We had a wonderful spring hike with Chansoo. It was a rainy, misty day, and he recommended an alternative hike rather than going to the peak as the rocks would be very slippery. He brought us on a beautiful route to lookout points over Seoul and nearby peaks, and then on to Seunggasa Temple, which was both stunning and peaceful in the mist. He shared a lot of geology and pointed out various trees and shrubs and wildlife. We very much enjoyed our good conversation and learned a lot about Korea. The hike ended with an indoor lunch of gimbap, ramen, and a tray of Korean favorites like scallion pancakes and meatballs - all of which were so good after the hike in the fresh, chilly mountain air! We would highly recommend this experience. Chansoo is such a knowledgeable and pleasant person. I don’t think we would have attempted Bukhansan on our own on such a wet day and would have missed out on one of our trip highlights.
The hike was steep but spectacular! Glad to have Jimmy as my guide.

5.00We had the best day hiking with our guide Jimmy. The day was seamless, Jimmy picked us up on time from our hotel, picked up snacks and lunch for our group, and recommended a trail that was challenging but doable for our family. He was easy to communicate with over text prior to the excursion. He is very knowledgeable about the mountain and patient. We couldn’t have done it without him!

The hiking trip was well managed on difficulty level that we can cope and enjoy...nice scenery and experience guide to help us manage our journey at comfortable pace..we chatted along the way and understood some history about korea, temple on this mountain and many other things.
