Your day trip starts with a pickup from your centrally located hotel in Udaipur, the railway station or the bus station in the morning (please refer to Departure Time for options).
The drive takes about 2 hours (depending on traffic) before arriving at Kumbhalgarh Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn the history of the fort while enjoying its mesmerizing view. Commonly referred to as the "the great wall of India," it features the second largest wall in the world.
Afterwards, visit the Jain Temple in Ranakpur. It is believed that the temple was built in the 15th century under the direction of Seth Dharna Shah, who was a follower of Jainism. He constructed the temple with the help of Rana Kumbha, the king of Mewar whose condition for help was that the temple be named after him. There are four entrances to reach the main chamber where the idol of Adinath is placed.

Kumbhalgarh Fort

5.00I have worked in Jaipur for couple of years and had priviledge to visit almost all places but Kumbhalgargh. So when a get together called me back to RJ Rajasthan , i thought to tick that as well to list. In this travel Kamal Bhati was my sarthi. He was humble full of knowledge and great orator of stories. I had a nice trip thanks to him, great food and later when the buses went on strike he also helped me arrange cab to Jaisalmer in normal rates rather than exhorbitant rates one would expect during such times. Thanks to him i had a wonderful Rajasthan trip.

He was very knowedgeable about the places we visited and ensured we had the opportunity to take rest and food breaks, when required. 5.00We used this taxi service for a day excursion to Kumbalgarh fort. Kamal Bhati was our driver and guide who gave us the history of Udaipur on the way to fort. He was on time and car was kept very clean. He also guided us to visit Srinathji temple and arranged is the Darshan on time.
