Departing from Port Douglas, your 90-minute high speed catamaran takes you directly to Agincourt Reef. The permanent pontoon moored here provides a sheltered base. During the trip a snorkeling demonstration will get you ready for your adventure, and the staff will take you through your options for the day.
Agincourt Reef
You'll have around 3.5 hours to enjoy the reef at your leisure. Grab a snorkel and fins and hit the water on your own, or join an optional guided snorkeling tour with a qualified marine biologist. Snorkeling is a great way to explore the Great Barrier Reef, and there are friendly staff on hand to show you how. Prefer to stay dry? You can explore the stunning reef from the comfort of a semi-submersible submarine. You'll take a leisurely cruise through colorful coral gardens, giving you a snorkeler's view of the marine life without getting wet. For a little more adventure, why not try an introductory scuba dive. or a unique Ocean Walker Helmet Dive - no diving experience necessary. We recommend you book this reef trip on your first full available day. You then have the opportunity to be flexible and change your travel date if you wish. Your booking can be changed at no additional cost directly with the operator once you are in Cairns.

3.00Snorkelling on the reef was great. Lots of interesting fish and coral. Very difficult to hear and see the on board presentations. I would have liked to have done an introductory dive but no one asked and if they told us I didn't hear it. Lunch was good. Enough for all. The submerged boat ride was OK but all of the good stuff was on the right hand side and I was seated on the left.
Could have been amazing...

2.00Some great things about this experience but I cannot rate it highly. We booked a couple of days ahead when the weather was forecast to be fine, however, the day before, it became obvious this would not be the case. So, I called the operator to discuss this as I did not want my partner to be ill. I found the call somewhat demeaning and was told not to 'overthink' things and that things would be fine. They were not - the weather was not conducive to a nice experience at all. As it happens, my partner soldiered through, however, there were people literally hurling all around us including an elderly gentleman who was violently ill and distressed. Bad weather can't be helped but our enquiry should not have been dismissed. Other than that, the staff were amazing - friendly, professional and caring and went over and above to tend to ill people. The glass bottom boat was awesome too. I'm sure on a fine day this would be a bucket-list trip. I would just say to the operators that they should take more heed of enquiries such as ours.

5.00This experience is a must for the family! The vessel is very large with plenty of room, the food was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was beautiful! It’s good for all ages and very safe! I’ll go again and again!

5.00My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our day from start to finish with Quicksilver. It was a warm, sunny day in February & perfect for sailing across the water to the Great Barrier Reef while relaxing on the outside deck & taking in the beautiful scenery & blue, blue water surrounding us. The trip to Agincourt Reef took approximately 2 hours, but somehow felt quicker as the ride was so enjoyable. Once there we we released onto the large platform & then given stinger suits & snorkels & allowed to play & see the amazing underwater world surrounding us. We were out for about 1 hour before heading back to the platform for lunch. We never did the submarine ride as there were too many people waiting for it, but everything else was enjoyable & it was a relaxing day. I sent postcards to family & friends from the platform as well which was very cool! The trip back was just as smooth as when going out, but we sat inside this time in order to have a drink & relax out of the sun. I would recommend Quicksilver to anyone wanting a more relaxing scuba or snorkel adventure than typical ones in smaller boats.

1.00Extremely disappointed with the experience. After a long journey on the ship, we arrived at the snorkeling/diving site, but to my astonishment almost all the coral reefs have died. The dead coral reefs look kinda scary and remind me of large burnt forest of trees I saw in movies. Very minimal marine life, only a few groupers and lonely turtles wandering around a sea of dead corals. I feel so bad for them :(

5.00Excellent well run day, well explained by staff and good hand out. If you snorkel or just go out on the sub you can see lots of reef fish, turtles and coral. Food lunch starts as you arrive so you can eat then swim or vice versa. Equipment all provided for snorkelling. A must if you want to experience the reef and get wet or even if you stay dry, good for ages 5 to 80.
On all areas very well done. Excellent Day.

5.00We had an absolutely incredible day snorkeling and enjoying the Agincourt Reef. The staff were superb as was the availability of gear. Your safety is always a priority for the Quicksilver crew. Lunch was delicious and we highly recommend this experience for everyone. Don't hesitate - this is a once in a life-time bucket list experience which will leave you in awe!

5.00All the gears are included. That is very handy. The adventure snorkeling was not very worthy though as I did not see any other different marine life.
