Informative and funny walking tour around Reykjavik in a small group. Famous landmarks are visited, history of the city is brought to life and you are introduced to local culture. The tour starts on the highest elevated point in town, is wheelchair accessible and all downhill, also ideal for children. The small size of the group makes it flexible for stops indoors in cold weather and the lengthy tour makes it relaxed as if you are with a new Icelandic friend. Great choice for a general walking tour of downtown Reykjavik

5.00This is a great option if you want a quick general overview of Reykjavík and only have a couple of hours to spare. Our guide (sorry, can’t spell the name!) was very local and very knowledgeable. Pacing was good and he answered any and all questions.

Worst free walking tour ever

1.00We booked the FREE walking tour 9 months in advance. We were cancelled on with 2 hours notice. They were RUDE and unprofessional and said "just book another date" when we were in town for only one day. I would not recommend this company.

4.00Book through Viator, which is always easy and convenient. Meet up was detailed on the ticket and we also received messages. The tour guide was interesting and also gave some good restaurant recommendations. Reykjavik is a small city so I would have hoped to see more things on the tour, but it was rainy and windy so that didn't help. This is pricey for a 2 hour general overview walking tour - in other European cities I'm used to paying in the $20-25 range. But this IS Iceland!! Overall a good experience.

3.00It was our guide’s first day on the job, and his newness showed. The meeting location was outside the famous Hallgrimskirkja church and after some basic information, he started to lead us into the church, but it was crowded and he said we would return in about 15 minutes—he never led us back but simply continued the tour to its other sights. He apologised for his lack of fluency in English, but it was not really a problem—he spoke well enough. The tour included the major sights in the center of the city over the course of two hours, downhill from the Hallgrimskirkja church and mostly easy flat sidewalks. While some of the information he provided was interesting, he was constantly distracted by questions from one or two participants and he politely kept responding to them, losing his focus. Eventually, I suppose he will learn how to handle participants who want to monopolize the guide’s attention.
Best tour! Highly recommend for an intro to Reykjavik

5.00This walking tour was one of the best walking tours of a city I have taken. I booked a small group tour for my husband and myself. The meeting place was easy to find and the tour guide made an effort to make sure we were all there. Our tour guide, Asta, was the best. She told us history and information about the city, pointed out special landmarks and buildings, and gave us tips and recommendations about the best shopping and restaurants. She explained local culture, politics, and food in a fun and interesting way. It was like taking a tour with a friend. The 2-hour tour took about 3 hours. I highly recommend this tour for an overview of Reykjavik and Iceland.

3.00Boarding was chaos. The guide was unintelligible over his microphone, very garbled. Nice drive around the countryside to view a crater and many farms.
