  We wanted to be out on the water but not in a crowded ferry type noisy boat, and we were not disappointed. The yacht was beautiful especially when we were in the right place to put up the sails. The captain Ricardo was super nice and a great teacher, he let everyone have a go at steering from the helm. There were 6 of us total. We stopped after a while and drifted with the sea which was relaxing and so peaceful with just the sound of the birds, wind and sea. We stopped for 45 mins on the beach and some went swimming. We wished we could have seen some mammal wildlife such as dolphins and different birds but not this trip. we had a good time. If you truly like to SAIL then this is the tour for you.

  A very nice and unique experience. A hands on lesson în sailing. The captain offers explanations, answers all questions, and creates a nice atmosphere on the sailing boat. Totally recommend!

  A spectacular outing. Ricardo teaches you basic navigation skills, and you can even steer the sailboat under his supervision. He is very friendly and shares interesting things about the place, his work, local anecdotes, and it is clear that he loves his job. It has been wonderful to discover the Ria in his company. An ideal activity for family or friends. We totally recommend it and will gladly return. Thank you, Ricardo, for this experience.

  

• The beautiful Algarve coast (departs from Fuseta)

  My neighbors invited me to do 1/2 day sailing experience that departs from Fuseta (Ria Formosa). It was lots of fun and really enjoyed the beauty of sailing along the coast of the Algarve. Ricardo was our excursion guide. Ricardo speaks English does an awesome job explaining the running of sailboat (even gives you chance to be the helmsman), and also explains what we are seeing. I had a wonderful time. Also, just in case you are visiting from United States of America. The excursion operator is called “Passeios Ria Formosa”. Last year in September, 2026 when my daughter visited with friends … the sailboat excursion wasn’t available so we did the excursion that takes you to all the islands in Ria Formosa. This excursion starts at 10 am and ends 5 pm. You get to catch lunch on one of the islands and the other islands you have free time to swim or explore the island. This was lots of fun and everyone enjoyed swimming in the beautiful Ria Formosa. The Ria Formosa Natural Park is a large coastal lagoon and is protected nature park. The water reminds me of Hawaii. Again, loved both experiences and plan this year to take my cousin when she visits to see the islands of Ria Formosa (she will be here in September, 2026).

  It was four spectacular hours, where the good disposition of the whole group did not lack. The adrenaline was constant (north wind). Keaper, a professional who knows his work. Thank you Ricardo. The Ria Formosa is beautiful, I highly recommend this Tour, promoted by the Ria Formosa tours, was the third I did and I will repeat.

  It was the 13th time I took the sailing ride. Magnificent experience of sailing to the taste of the wind with the highest safety and quality. Unforgettable tour under the leadership of Ricardo and Ria Formosa Tours. I recommend!!! I will repeat!!!!

  This was a magical day sailing. The islands of Ria Formosa are considered the Gems of Europe. Ricardo, the Captain lets you sail hands on & explains the different sails etc. Highly recommend.

  Ricardo was fantastic captain for our trip, showed us how the boat and sails worked and luckily with the weather we got the spinaker up. All of us toon turns steering the boat in which my daughter got a great thrill out of it so hopefully she takes an interest I. Sailing back home.
