ItaliaTours' Pompeii tour was great! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made sure we hit all the crucial sites. The winery was beautiful, and the wine was incredible, definitely worth the add-on. Luca, our guide who took us back and forth from Rome, made the trip very special with his kind and outgoing personality! Would recommend to anyone!

This is--without question--one of the most interesting places that I have ever visited and one that requires/compels the: (1) necessary logistics to get there and (2) the knowledge of a guide to let you know what you're seeing. Italia Tours is a well oiled machine on both fronts--the pinnacle of organization (which completely contradicts the archetype of Italian business). Luka provided exception train organization both in Rome and in Naples. Eleana was an outstanding guide. The price $239? High speed train tickets alone cost about half of that plus admission fees plus bus plus lunch. This was a bargain. Pompeii is definitely a "bucket list" item. And I cannot recommend Italia Tours more highly

We cannot recommend this tour enough! They had every minute precisely planned and had us on time for all of it. We enjoyed the train ride and the shuttle. Our tour guide, Eliana, was a wealth of knowledge and really gave us a look at what life was like in Pompeii. The highlight of this tour was the visit to the winery and the staff there. Out meal was fantastic and the wine tasting was even better!

High speed train is just that: 186+ mph. Pompeii is spectacular but wear good supportive shoes as walkways are uneven rocks. Wine tasting and lunch were very good.

Well run, professional, wine tasting and lunch excellent. Not overly taxing like some long tours. Wear comfortable shoes for uneven terrain and an umbrella for the sun.

This was a great day trip from Rome to see a can’t-miss site. So painless to take the high-speed train as a large group to Napoli, and then we separated into smaller groups on small shuttles to see Pompeii. Fabricio was a great leader for the train, and Antonio was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide for our small group in Pompeii. Pompeii itself was a sobering, but amazing experience - the sheer size of the dig, as well as seeing how much is still to be uncovered was shocking. The winery lunch afterwards at Bosco de’ Medici was a great ending to the visit - a tasty array of food and wine, and the staff was very knowledgeable about their wines.

Great day all around. Train was very nice, the guide was exceptional and knew everything about Pompeii and Italy in general. Lots of walking but worth it. Probably not for small children but our 19 and 24 yr old loved it.
