  We had an amazing experience at Sea Waves cooking class. Our day started at the local food market where we bought fish and vegetables. Afterwards we went to Susanthis place for the cooking class. Amazing food ! It was a really nice experience and Susanthi was very hospitable!

  We booked a cooking class at Sea Waves and it was perfect! We went to the market to choose our products and then we learned to cook traditional dishes. All in good spirits! We had a great time 😋 It was truly an experience that I recommend! 😁

  We had such a great experience at Sea Waves Unawatuna cooking class yesterday. Auntie was incredibly kind, welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived. She organised tuk tuks for us to visit the local fish market and food market, where we got to pick out all of the fresh ingredients for the curries ourselves. She explained all of the different ingredients, spices and local cooking methods throughout the experience, which made it really interesting and authentic. We were able to be very hands-on with preparing and cooking each dish, while she guided us every step of the way. The food turned out amazing and the whole experience felt very personal and genuine. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Unawatuna who wants to experience real Sri Lankan cooking and hospitality to drop in for a class for a 5 ⭐️ experience

  We had an absolutely amazing experience at Sea Waves cooking class which started with a trip to the local fish and veg market to select our own fresh ingredients. Susanthi taught us how to identify the most fresh fish and how to cook several different delicious Sri Lankan dishes in her restaurant. The food was so tasty and Susanthi was an amazing host, 100% recommend this to anyone visiting south Sri Lanka! We left very full hearts and tummy’s!

  I absolutely loved my experience here! The food I cooked tasted amazing and the family were so warm and welcoming. I will definitely recommend it to everyone! Definitely come hungry!!

  Started our experience off by taking a TukTuk to Galle market and sourcing some fresh local ingredients Travelled back and started cooking. From freshly making each individual curry, to making the coconut milk, this was truly an authentic experience, and the curries came out tasting delicious. Our hostess was professional throughout the entire experience and we highly recommend everyone to try this

  Had such a wonderful experience at Sea Waves cooking class! 🌊🍲 From the moment we arrived, our lovely host Susanthi made us feel right at home with her warm smile and friendly energy. She guided us step by step through each dish, sharing not just recipes but little tips and stories that made the whole experience so special. The atmosphere was relaxed, fun, and full of laughter—and of course, the food we made was absolutely delicious! 😍 If you’re looking for an authentic, hands-on cooking experience with a genuinely kind and passionate host, I can’t recommend this enough.   Amazing authentic Sri Lankan cooking class. We took a trip to the fish and vegetable markets to pick out our preferred options (highly recommend sweet potatoes as one of your vegetables). Then we went back and learned how to prepare a traditional curry and rice meal. We learned so much, and it was all things we can make again at home. She even took us to her cinnamon supplier to stock up. A fantastic experience that our whole family loved.

  This was a great way to understand Sri Lankan dishes and spices. Susanthi welcomed us like family and was patient explaining techniques and recipes. We selected our dishes based on what was at the market, grated coconut for the milk, prepped the veg and cooked 6 amazing dishes plus dhal. Highly recommend this experience.
