Hveragerdi
The first stop of the day is the town Hveragerði, where we have a short restroom stop. Hveragerði is about 45 min drive from Reykjavik. There are restrooms, a bakery and an exhibition about earth quakes. Consider this a short pit-stop on our way to the Golden Circle.
Gullfoss Falls
Gullfoss, is one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland. It is powerful and tall. Through it the river Hvítá, which is a glacier river originating from Langjökull, plunges down this two step waterfall. There are a handful of viewing platforms to observe the waterfall and above Gullfoss there is Gullfoss center where there are restrooms, a cafeteria and gift shops. NOTE: The path leading all the way up to the waterfall is closed during the winter season.

5.00Stopped at 4 different sites. Had 45 min to an hour at each. Also stopped to see some horses and at a farm with an ice cream shop. Nice pacing with time to relax on the comfortable bus between stops. Wifi on the bus was working well. Each stop is self paced, so you can walk as much or as little as you like.

5.00Sprinter bus tour of some of the most scenic landscapes. Time between stops can be on the longer side, so plan accordingly. We had perfect weather but understood that may not always be the case. Nothing particularly challenging about the terrain but covered a decent number of miles to see the sites from different perspectives. Sites and the country drives in between were unlike anything we have seen. Strongly recommend if staying in Reykavik and have a day to see the natural beauty of Iceland.

5.00The waterfall stop was spectacular! Definitely a highlight of our trip to Iceland. Eric provided great commentary in a warm, friendly way. We learned a lot about Iceland and its history. Seeing the tectonic plates and volcanic phenomena was fascinating.

5.00We had the best day traveling with very nice people and our guide Eric who was a local resident! The sights were stunning and we had enough time at each stop. It was so nice not having to worry about driving, parking and knowing where to go. Well worth the price!! The communication from the Viator app was amazing! Emails and text reminders were sent with very clear details. This is one of our four tours for the week so far and will definitely use them again on future trips!

3.00This is the first time on Iceland so wasn't sure what to expect. The country has beautiful scenery. The Golden circle was something that had been recommended online and as we are unlikely to be back again, I booked the experience. The communication from the company and trip advisor was excellent. We went to our pickup location and the driver arrived on time (It was a bit chaotic at the pickup location as there were literally hundreds of passengers and many many tourists buses). We boarded and the driver explained the experience to us and gave us a narrative as we travelled ( history, geology etc). The driver was good. The sights were ok. The waterfall was impressive but I had seen better in Norway, the Crater was big, the Geyser unfortunately due to recent tectonic events wasn't as big and spectacular as previously but still good, and the garden was good due to the sights of the previous tectonic plate movement. The coach was a bit a a squeeze, not enough room to manoeuvre and for me uncomfortable for the journey. We did make several stops with comfort breaks. The driver recommended the local lamb soup, so I thought I'd give that a try at the main dining stop . The soup was in a medium soup bowl,with carrots and a little lamb, tasted good but cost £20...for a soup. WOW, Won't be buying that again. Overall I'm glad I did the Golden Circle, but not really impressive enough for the cost and will not be doing it again

Plenty of stops at 8 different locations and opportunities to take in the beautiful sites at Almar Bakari, Kerid Crater, Fridheimar Greenhouse, Gullfoss Waterfall, Feeding Horses, Geysir & lunch, Laugarvatn Lake ending at Pingvellir Waterfall! Our tour guide Tomasz was fabulous and was proud to show off his country and its rich history and landscape! I would highly recommend Tomasz and Arctic Adventures for any future visits to Iceland!
