The unique part of my sunset trip is we actually sail it’s a genuine sailing experience with only 8 guests. Other sunset trips can have up to 30 passengers on board and only put up a small forward sail we off a proper hands on sailing experience Ranked number 2 out of 134 things to do in the Whitsundays on Trip Advisor.

We go on a sunset sail for 2 to 2.5 hours guests can assist with sailing steering the boat. Some guests bring there bathers for a swim off the stern. We explore Pioneer bay going past Mandalay House watching the sun go down over the hills it’s a beautiful trip.

5.00Had such a great experience sailing with anchor yacht club! The skipper gave really clear instructions, made everyone feel comfortable, and explained things in a way that was easy to follow, even for beginners. We learned a lot throughout the race while still having an absolute blast. You can really tell they’re passionate about sailing and creating a fun experience for everyone on board. Highly recommend!

This wasn’t just a sunset cruise, it felt like being invited onto a friend’s boat for one of those magical, once-in-a-lifetime evenings you wish you could bottle. Paul has that rare combination of total professionalism and effortless warmth. From the moment we met, everything felt relaxed, personal and completely unforced. The sailing itself was stunning - gliding across the ocean as the sky turned every shade of gold. Champagne in hand, delicious nibbles, ocean stretching endlessly around you… it’s exactly the kind of experience people imagine when they dream about sunset sail and it absolutely delivers. Paul doesn’t just run a tour he creates an experience. He shared stories, involved us in the sailing, and somehow struck that perfect balance of providing very Australiana experience. It’s intimate, authentic, and a world away from crowded, commercial cruises. Just pure sailing, incredible scenery, and a skipper who genuinely loves what he does. This ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip. If you want something special, memorable, and genuinely beautiful, this is it.
