A moderate amount of walking is involved covering approx. 1.2 miles (2km) at the pace of the group’s participants
Small groups (no more than 20 people)
Tour encompasses uneven surfaces, cobblestones, worn sandstone flagging stairs and steps; while these elements of the tour have never been considered to be strenuous by most people, for others this may be considered as an unsuitable activity.
Comfortable walking shoes, hat and a bottle of water suggested
Operates in all weather conditions, please dress to the predicted weather conditions appropriate for an outdoor activity
Children and Infants must be accompanied by an adult
Meeting point is easily accessible on foot for cruise arrivals/ shore excursions
Wheelchair (manual) and pram friendly route
Tour is wheelchair accessible however be prepared for uneven surfaces at the sites visited which may be difficult for those with walking disabilities or using a powered wheelchair/ scooter

5.00Fabulous tour with our guide PAUL, so many great stories about the buildings and first European Settlers and convicts on the East coast of Australia, lots of history brought to life by PAUL our guide, as we went along the alleys and lane ways.

5.00One of our highlights of our visit to Sydney was the Rocks tour. Alot of historic landmarks to be seen and alot to learn about the history of this great area. Our tour guide George was excellent. The excitement in his voice. Clear. Well spoken. I reckon this walking tour.

5.00Vickie delivered a thoroughly engaging tour of The Rocks! We really wanted to understand the history and buildings in the area. There were a lot of interesting places and back alleys you would normally walk past as a tourist.

5.00My wife and I have been to Sydney many times over the years and have always wandered around the lovely rocks area. BUT..... we have never undertaken a walking tour. On this trip we did. And was it worth it!! The history, the little laneways, the buildings etc were fantastic. But if we did not have George as our tour guide I feel it would not have been the same. He was fantastic. Great commentary on the history and its great to do a walking tour when the guide is someone that goes over and above when loving their job. Kudos to The Rocks Walking tours and to George.

5.00Judith was absolutely amazing! Her knowledge of ths history of the rocks & horticultural made the tour even more memorable. If you are new to Sydney this is a must do tour ask for Judith!

5.00Vickie, our tour guide, was welcoming and entertaining. Her stories about the historical background of the buildings and the area was interesting. The tour was well paced and the 1.5 hours went quickly.

5.00The whole experience was brilliant but it couldn’t not have been as enjoyable or as interesting if it weren’t for our amazing guide George. He will brilliant. He was knowledgeable, engaging, articulate and kind. I would LOVE to follow along with any tours he leads. He was outstanding.
