Zhangzhou Tianluokeng Village
After breakfasts, your private guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby. Sit back and relax in a well maintained, air conditioned non smoking private vehicle for a 2.5-hour drive. You will learn from your knowledgeable Tulou travel guide about the history of the Tulou (Hakka Earth Buildings), the local life of the Hakka people, some basic facts of the earth buildings you will visit and other things you should know for this tour. Get off the vehicle, you will first go to the viewing platform to have a bird view of Tianluokeng Tulou Clusters. You will have 20 minutes free time to enjoy the picturesque of the famous "Four Dishes and One Soup" . Don't forget to take some stunning photos like everybody else come here do. Walk down from the viewing platform, the vehicle will take you directly to the village. You will step into this masterpiece of traditional Chinese residential buildings and unveil its mystery by your own eyes. With the help of your Hakka language speaking guide, you could also have a conversation with the inhabitants whose ancestors built this building 650 years ago.
Yuchang Building
After the 1-hour visiting of the Tianluokeng Tulou Clusters, you will go to a local Hakka family to have a traditional Chinese lunch. Enjoy the local Hakka food and their special home made rice wine! Later after lunch, you will continue visit the “rickety building”-Yuchang Building which is the oldest and largest round building known so far. You will see the teetering columns that seems almost to collapse but to your surprise it has undergone seven hundred years of erosion and numerous earthquakes. It has still remained the same as ever and has become a living specimen of ancient residential buildings.

5.00Such a wonderful experience . My 13 year old loved the whole day and was engaged in learning. Adam our tour guide was amazing at speaking English and has extensive knowledge. Adam changed the tour. Little for us to suit our needs which was nice. The food was amazing also. I highly recommend this tour when visiting Xiamen.

5.00I had a wonderful experience on this private day tour to Tianluokeng Tulou from Xiamen. Lily was an excellent guide and made me feel very comfortable throughout the day. She explained a lot about Chinese culture in a way that was easy to understand and added so much meaning to what we were seeing. The pace of the tour was perfect: relaxed, enjoyable, and never rushed. It gave me time to appreciate the Tulou buildings, the scenery, and the local culture. Lunch was also a nice part of the experience. I would highly recommend this tour, especially with Lily as a guide.

5.00Highly recommended tour! Adam was an amazing guide with outstanding knowledge of the area we visited, and on top of that, he’s a genuinely great person. When I accidentally hit my head during the tour, he went above and beyond—he came with me to the hospital and stayed the entire time, making sure I was okay. That level of care is truly rare and deeply appreciated. Adam speaks excellent English and has been to the U.S. several times, which made communication easy and the experience even better. I couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly, highly recommended!

He went above and beyond, taking the time to show us and explain things that were not even part of the original itinerary. The driver was also safe and friendly, and the vehicle was clean and very comfortable. My young adult sons were amazed and impressed by the entire experience. This tour and most importantly, Adam are truly second to none.

5.00Sophia, our tour guide, spoke good English, and was very knowledgeable about the places we saw on our tour. We spent a great deal of time in the square Tulou and one of the round Tulous. Bought a painting from an artist as well as several packets of tea. We also got the chance to check out a room on the third floor of the round Tulou, and we got to visit the second and third floors of the square Tulou. The Hakka dishes we had for lunch were fantastic. Overall, my younger brother and I had a great time with this tour.
