Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary
This unique and sacred place is a must see place in Ubud. There are many wild life inside the thick forest. Walk along the path under the shade and see many birds, lizards, butterflies and monkeys among the trees. It is a perfect set for the real wild life. There are 3 sacred temples to balance this area. Local people usually come to pray on a special ceremony day.

5.00I booked this tour last minute the night before, and the organiser was incredibly responsive and informative. Our driver and guide, Dewa, was fantastic. He arrived 60 minutes early for pickup but never rushed us; instead, he encouraged us to take our time at each location. He offered great flexibility with the daily schedule, guiding us on how to maximize our time so we could get the most out of the experience. Dewa even assisted us the following day by helping us plan and optimize our itinerary. I can’t recommend him enough! Mantap Abang! *Pro Tips* Monkey Forest: Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, bring a spare T-shirt, and wear minimal jewellery. The monkeys will literally jump on you, which was an epic highlight! Water Temple: Bring a change of clothes if you plan on doing the water cleansing ritual.

2.00We booked a private Ubud tour for a group of 7 family members and friends. The itinerary was completed as advertised, and transportation was comfortable and punctual. However, the experience did not match our expectations of a “private tour with a guide.” Aside from an initial WhatsApp message introducing himself before pickup, the driver had very limited communication throughout the day. There was little to no information provided about the attractions, local culture, or the places we visited. In practice, the service felt more like hiring a driver than booking a guided tour. If we had only wanted transportation, there were much cheaper private taxi options available. We specifically chose and paid for a private guided tour expecting a more engaging and informative experience. The tour itself was completed successfully, but the lack of guiding and communication significantly reduced the value of the experience.

5.00We partook in this experience as a party of three in June 2026. Our tour guide (Bagus) was extremely punctual, efficient, accommodating and beyond helpful. His knowledge of each area was second to none, and you could really tell how passionate he was for Balinese culture, the sacred sites we were visiting and ensuring our enjoyment on this trip! He was particuarly very knowledgable about the Water Temple and captured in stunning clarity the elements and importance of the Balinese purification ceremony that takes place there. Also, a special shout out to him for being so caring in ensuring we were content with the air con, music on aux and bottles of water provided during the car transfers which made the intense heat so bearable! Each element of the tour helps to capture the history, culture and immense beauty of the Ubud area and we would thoroughly recommend to anyone travelling in Bali to visit to get the perfect snapshot of the country in just a single day trip!

5.00Mang Jaya was fantastic! We had the best day driving from place to place with Jay. We listened to fun music in the car, heard great stories and info about Bali, and he took awesome pictures of us with the monkeys! He was the best!!!

He went above and beyond to make sure I had the best experience possible, and he took some absolutely fantastic photos for me at every stop. As a solo traveller, I really appreciated how helpful and patient he was, ensuring I felt comfortable and got the most out of each location.
