The underground caves are one of the most amazing visits to take on Terceira Island. This tour includes the passage through the Natal Cave (lava tube) and the Algar do Carvão (the interior of the volcano), also includes the passage through the famous Furnas of Sulfur (fumarolas) and the leisure area Lagoa das Patas.

Lagoa Das Patas
The first stop of the tour will be at a secret place called Lagoa das Patas. In this place it is possible to visit the stream that originates from Serra de Sta Bárbara, visit the Lagoon and interact with animals such as ducks and some birds. It is a leisure area full of life and nature!
Here we will visit the famous Gruta Natal and Lagoa do Negro. At this stop, you have the opportunity to walk through lava tunnels made by mother nature and see Lagoa do Negro up close.

5.00Di and James were fantastic!!! I thoroughly enjoyed both tours. They shared a lot about the island of Terceira. They arrived on time. We visited all the places listed in the program. Di and James are excellent drivers. I felt safe. Thank you very much!!!

5.00Enjoyed this tour with Jamie during our 4th full day on Terceira. Very interesting areas of the island we had yet to see, and the information provided by Jamie made the experience that much better. Walking through the inside of a volcano was a first for me. Thank you again!

5.00Wonderful tour of the lava tubes and the interior of a volcano in the middle of the island. André was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable, sincere and respectful. He sent a message ahead of time to let me know the pickup time which was a great help. Comfortable van. I will go again with this company.

5.00While the weather did not cooperate, we still had a fun tour of lava tube and volcano. The weather meant we skipped the fumarole, but James gave us some extra time at Quinta dos Azores - for coffee and a snack Also we had delightful stop at the duck lagoon. Very peaceful.

Great way to see the centre of Terceira, without a car

5.00I didnt want to hire a car to visit the central part of Terceira, so booked the half day van trip at the last minute. Easy pick up and great commentary from Andrea about the island. Visited four sites, each beautiful in its own way. Met all my expectations.
