Mike, our eco accredited tour guide, has over 27 years-experience in the tourism industry and loves sharing his passion for the Australian bush with our guests during an intimate tour on our 44-acres property in Agnes Water, QLD. Learn about the many uses of native bushtucker and bush medicine first hand and enjoy an easy walk along our bushland boardwalk. Experience the tastes and sounds of nature during the only eco-tourism certified bushtucker tour on the Southern Great Barrier Reef.

Welcome to BushTracks Eco Tour located on the same property as Traveller's Rest 1770 Campground (6kms from Agnes Water) 9.00 am The tour begins when Mike will meet you at our BBQ shelter, set in a natural bush setting, and introduces you to the family history of “BushTracks Eco Tours” 9.10 am We will embark on a gentle stroll along our scenic bushland boardwalk where Mike will share interesting facts about native plant use, mosaic burns and land management, history and habitats of native wildlife. You are invited to taste and feel native plants along the way and guests are often fortunate enough to witness native wildlife in their natural habitats.

10:30 am You will have the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the natural world by taking a self-guided, peaceful stroll back to our meeting place for morning tea. This is a great opportunity for nature photographers to capture some images to share with family and friends. 10:45 am In the meantime, Mike will prepare some delicious morning tea for you to enjoy. You are invited to tune into the natural harmony of bird calls, rustling leaves and gentle breezes whilst enjoying a delicious treat to refresh yourself. 11.00 am Enjoy the fascinating story of the Australian native bee and discover the little creatures in our observation hive, before it is time to conclude the tour. Opportunity to enjoy a relaxing lunch in our BBQ Shelter, whilst observing the beautiful birdlife on our property. 5.00We booked the Bush tour with Mike very spontaneously, from one day to the next. This went completely uncomplicated and the details of the directions we got via SMS. Spacious, spacious grounds, you drive down immediately when you feel the energy there. After a short contact with Michi, Mike awaits us at the camping kitchen. At first glance sympathetic and secure. He talks about his career, is open to any curious question and on the following way into the bush he gives super understandable explanations about the different plants, trees and animals. We walk on a track of wooden planks and need not fear imponderables or animals. There are footprints and boards and we make practical attempts to recognize and get to know plants. He has a lot to offer. Great. We enjoyed the time with him very much and recommend him very much.

5.00We came for the bushtalk and got do much more: all the knowledge of Mike about plants and trees for meficine and sosp and drinks, a nice place for the campervan, a kangaroo to share the morning tea, a wildhut to observe the birds in the lake bij sundown ( or sunrise) Mike Michy and the childeren were warm welcoming. This place was one of the highlights of our 6 week eastcoast trip❤️

5.00Absolutely lovely experience. Learnt so much and it was such a lovely peaceful walk. My neice loved finding the animal prints on the board walk and being able to touch the plants. We all really enjoyed it. Highly recommend and will love to do again.
