Discover the natural beauty hidden just off Hawaii’s famed Hana Highway on a waterfalls and rainforest hike in east Maui. This excursion takes you deep into one of Hawaii’s most popular valleys, where several waterfalls tumble within a short distance of one another. On this relaxed hike, take a dip into the pools located beneath the falls, clamor up columnar basalt rock formations to jump safely into the water, and enjoy a healthy lunch. Round-trip transport from your Maui hotel included.

Outfitted in a swimsuit, begin the journey from your hotel to where the Hana Highway begins. You’ll be driven to the entrance of the hiking area, which was selected for its heavy concentration of waterfalls. Your guide will lead you along streams to three or more of these breathtaking cascades, some more than 40-feet (12-meters) high. While many tourists flock to Hana Highway area for its scenic beauty, your local guide knows the best vantage points for appreciating the falls on your 2.5-mile (4-kilometer) hike. The waterfalls are breathtaking from land, but they’re even better up close. Wade into any of the pools under the falls—depending on the season, some are calm enough to pass beneath. With advice from the guide, adventurous types can climb up to the nearby columnar basalt ledges and jump 10- to 15- feet (3- to 4.5-meters) into the water below. After exploring the waterfalls enjoy a healthy lunch. A van will transport you back along the Hana Highway to your hotel.

5.00Our guide Angela was EXCEPTIONAL! She was very knowledgeable of the Hawaiian culture, legends and native plants in the rain forest making this excursion such an immersing experience. Her passion and love for Hawaii is contagious. Booking this tour was hands down the best decision. Thank you Hike Maui more importantly MAHALO Angela for bringing all of our senses alive

5.00We returned home about 30 minutes ago and I couldn’t wait to write this review. Communication was seamless. Our guide Des was right on time and was an excellent driver. The drive was about an hour to the beginning of the Road to Hana (from Wailea). We were concerned about car sickness but the drive was easy and went by quickly. The hike was fantastic. Easy in some areas, challenging in others (in a good way). Incredible scenery and stunning waterfalls. Des was an EXCELLENT guide- very fun and informative and always checked to make sure everyone was ok. We brought water shoes but just wore old sneakers and it worked out fine. Worth every penny, highly recommend! Des, big mahalo from your DC friends 🤙🏼

5.00We had a wonderful time today with Momo "Melissa". We went on a one to two-mile waterfall hike with grandparents and young children. She was super knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions and different walking speeds! Would highly recommend her to anyone!

5.00The guide of our tour was Mick! The tour was great, Mick showed us different waterfalls and guide us where to jump safely. He also explain everything around us, he is very knowledgeable and fun. Also, you can really tell that Mick loves nature and loves what he does. I was very lucky as well, as I am travelling solo, the people that booked the same tour as me were all lovely and everybody was looking after each other, was really nice!

5.00Our guide Mick was really amazing and make the tour the best it could have been. He made sure everyone was included, checked in with each group frequently and took us to some really cool spots. We loved swimming in the natural waterfall pools and jumping into the water. Mick was knowledgeable, fun and super enthusiastic. You can tell that he genuinely loves his job and his joy was infectious. We all had a fantastic time on this tour.

5.00Five stars for Enrique! He was so knowledgeable about the history and ecology of the island. He was very helpful to the hikers in our group that needed a little extra help. He was amazing with my 9 year old son- he joked with him, taught him so much, and even gave him the confidence to jump into the waterfall! He did a great job navigating the route with all of the recent road closures. If we come back, we’ll definitely be asking to hike with Enrique again!!

5.00We hiked Maui with tour guide Abby, she was amazing! She was so funny and informative. She picked us up from our resort (four seasons) with 4 other people. She was a good driver and gave us some interesting history about the island. While hiking we saw so many flowers and cool plants. She had us try all kinds of tropical fruit we found on our way. We saw geckos, lizards, prawn and fish. She kept us safe and made sure we all had bug spray and whatever we needed. Tour was a little muddy so wear water shoes. We also Saw chickens, cats and spiders. We saw mosquitos but they never bit us. The lunch (sandwhich, chips, cookie) was good too. Highly recommend.
