Join us for a hands-on blending experience, creating your own unique bottle of wine to take home. Our wine educators will guide you through the process of selecting and blending different varietals to create a wine that perfectly suits your taste. You’ll get to experiment with different blending ratios until you find the perfect combination. Along the way, you’ll learn about the characteristics of different grapes and how they contribute to the final product. Once you’ve created your blend, we’ll bottle it up and you’ll get to take it home with you as a one-of-a-kind souvenir of your experience. And of course, you’ll also get to enjoy a glass or two of your creation as you work. This event is for adults 18+ only and no children are permitted.

5.00Declan was is knowledgeable and personable. The whole process was well organised, informative and fun. We also bought some of his excellent rose and champagne. Something cool to do other than simply tasting wines. Thoroughly recommend, even though it's not cheap.

We tasted wonderful wines, learned how to properly degust and understand them, and were guided through the entire process of making our own wine. The owner did everything with so much knowledge, passion and heart ❤️ Being able to create our own bottle and label at the end made it even more special 🍷✨ A huge recommendation – such a unique and unforgettable experience!

5.00The wine maker class was so much fun. Declan taught us a lot in the 90 minutes we were there. The room, equipment and atmosphere was wonderful and well organised. Highly recommend this experience for friends wanting to do something different when visiting our beautiful Hunter Valley wine region.

The wine was high quality and the set-up well thought out and presented. The cheese platter offers local produce and went down very well with a final glass 🍷.

Declan is super knowledgeable and very happy to answer questions and share wine making experiences. An added bonus was tasting delicious wines and making our own blends. Highly recommended.

5.00Winemaker for the Day experience at McCaffrey’s Estate was excellent and I highly recommend it to couples, friends and families as a different, fun and engaging experience from wine tasting at cellar doors. Declan is highly knowledgeable and makes the wine making experience fun and relatable. Danielle and Declan are wonderful hosts and we made sure we bought some extra bottles to sample.
