Discover Nara's must-see landmarks on the deluxe coach tour and try to make Matcha tea at Uji in Kyoto, the birthplace of matcha.
We will drive pass Fushimi Castle and Heijokyo Palace on the way to Nara. We will visit Todaiji Temple, a house of the Great Buddha of Nara and it is one of the world’s largest wooden buildings. Meet about 1,400 deer at Nara Park, you can even feed them rice crackers. Then we visit Kasuga Taisha Shrine where 3000 magical stone lanterns enlighten you. After lunch, we go to Uji area in Kyoto and try making Uji matcha tea! Spot the Byodo-in Phoenix Hall depicted on the back of the 10-yen coin at Uji.

Please make sure to bring cash with you. Deer crackers can only be purchased with cash, and some shops also accept cash only, so having cash will be necessary and convenient.
We do not supply any extra pick up & drop off service.
The lunch/restaurant may change due to operational reasons.
If any of the visiting places is closed, we will try to attend an alternative place.
Customers will walk including stairs and hills in each places
Due to the weather conditions, traffic conditions, or suspension of operation, we may have a possibility not to achieve all the activities. The tour will be attending to alternative place or giving out a gift as a compensation, depending on the situation at that time. There will not be any refunds for these changes.
Itinerary order is subject to change depending on traffic, weather, and operation.
Late arrivals will not be entertained and joining midway is not feasible for the tour. Please arrive the meeting point on time.
Not recommended for travelers who can not walk long distance. This tour includes lots of walkings.

5.00What an amazing experience, truly. Chi Chan, our guide was so knowledgeable and kind. Her English was fantastic, and we appreciated her teaching us some Japanese along the way! My initial plans had all of the Kyoto, Nara and Osaka sights DIY. I’ve researched, used AI, and spent countless hours trying to understand transportation to and from all these places. I thought I could manage like a local. Then I got here. While I could get my family around, the time and energy it took finding many of my original “must see’s” was taxing, especially with such a small number of days here. I was reluctant about the tour, but am so glad I booked it. From Nara to Uji, we learned a lot along the way, and likely got information we never would’ve on our own. Making the matcha was a highlight! Not only did the Nara tour surpass our expectations, I even booked another tour tomorrow, of Kyoto. Nagomi, the assistant, was also a joy to be around. No question went unanswered. The lunch was fantastic - traditional Japanese. Some on the tour preferred Western food, and left much uneaten, which made me so sad. The Japanese really do take so much pride in all they do, and it’s so important to at least try to embrace the culture. I had my 11 and 9 year old kiddos with me, and they agreed this was a great day (free sweets, Pokémon cards, and ninja stars!!). Recommend 10/10!

5.00Amazing experience! Meet up was very easy! Our hostess Chi-Chan was very friendly, informative and had great energy all around. Our driver was great too! Very smooth ride to the temples. She also gave us tips on the deer too! Highly recommend this tour to anyone! Also, there a lot of food and drink accommodations at the temple in case you get hungry!
