This award-winning tour is the best way to learn the history of Krakow's Jewish Quarter. The small fee paid to Viator is a booking fee to secure your place on the tour. On the day, you will join our donations-based tour. Our guides work for contributions at the end. The amount you donate is up to you.
What you will see:
The tour takes you to the heart of the 700-year-old Jewish Quarter of Krakow including the World War Two ghetto.
Kazimierz was the centre of Jewish life in Poland. Wander through its picturesque cobbled streets past historic synagogues and temples and learn how this quaint part of Krakow was forever changed during the Second World War.
We visit the former Krakow ghetto, the empty chairs holocaust memorial, and Schindler’s List filming locations. As well as discussing the German Army’s occupation of Krakow. You'll also see how Kazimierz is now a revived hub of street art and food.
No trip to Krakow is complete without a visit to the Jewish Quarter.

5.00We Did the free Walking tour, on Tuesday, Rudolph was our guide, and he was fantastic, very knowledgeable and was full of emotion for the subject. It was a brilliant was of getting to know the Jewish quarter and made our stay mush more enjoyable, as we would never have founds, the squares, and restaurants had we not been on the walk.i would fully recommend this

5.00This was outstanding!!!!! A free walking tour (if you don’t count viator taking a cut), on the basis of your tip is all they earn, based on how good you think the guide was. …. I WAS BRILLIANT! Informative, relevant, accurate…. And a couple of the best spent hours in Krakow.. would highly recommend

5.00Dale is a Brit who came on a visit and decided to stay. He gives a compelling description of difficult political times, and it’s not always easy listening. The facts are heartbreaking, but it’s a story that has to be told, so that it doesn’t happen again. There’s some walking in this tour, but a lot of standing around listening ( which I find harder than walking continuously.) it was hot, and we were afforded a very short 15 minute beer garden break. Covered a lot of ground, distance and historically, and gave lots of tips for eating ( later) along the way. We were exhausted at the end ( physically and mentally) and after eating in the Jewish quarter we got a Bolt back to our hotel. Highly recommend. ( to note we had done the Old Town / Castle tour in the morning - 6 hours of walking tour was too much but we wanted to fit it in on a sunny day before the rain arrived.

5.00After doing the old town tour we decided to also go on the Jewish quarter and ghetto walk. Highly recommended to get a deeper insight into the the history of the Jewish people in Poland. Dale was and engaging speaker who told the stories of various people and explained their roles in history.
