The Indigenous owned Yellow Water Cruises takes you on a discovery tour through the world famous Yellow Water Billabong. Operating year round, sunrise to sunset, the cruise winds its way through distinct ecosystems of Yellow Water Billabong and tributaries of the South Alligator River.

Yellow Water Cruises
Cruise Kakadu's most famous wetland and see the billabong come alive. Located at the end of the Jim Jim Creek, Yellow Water is part of the South Alligator River system. This river system is unique as it is included in its entirity within a UNESCO World Heritage listed National Park. Cruise along with a knowledgeable guide who will provide commentary about the area and the various species of animals that call this waterway home.

Kakadu National Park is a must do with amazing scenery and wildlife within. Get your camera out for the beautiful colours of this vast land as you cruise along the river.

5.00Okay, so upfront, this is somewhat of an expensive experience. However it is one that is worth the money. Our particular boat captain and guide was very knowledgeable and very engaging. She clearly has a firm understanding of the various wildlife you will encounter on your cruise. So many interesting facts and highlights. As for the cross we sighted, keep your arms inside the boat!

5.00Definitely worthwhile. Our tour guide was very informative both with respect to indigenous culture and connection to Country & also the fauna and wildlife. Dennis was an excellent communicator with a dry sense of humour. The scenery and wildlife were spectacular & topped off with an equally spectacular sunset. The boat was sufficiently comfortable with plenty of vantage points. The whole tour was efficiently run.

5.00How can you not enjoy an experience like the Yellow water cruise. The waterways are magical, filled with birdlife, estuarine crocodiles and history. The guide was very knowledgeable; the boat was comfy enough the scenery was a great sensory reset. Tip if travelling with kids..... pack snacks, lots of snacks! 2 hours goes fast for adults immersed in the experience, however, for children, especially younger children, 2 hours is hard when hungry, tired and "bored".

5.00Had a great day yesterday with Gecko, very informative along with his humour made the day. We did the 11.30 tour. I would recomend this cruise. Good value for money.

5.00This tour would have to be a standout for our visit to the Northern Territory. Guide has so much knowledge and passion. The evening cruise is a must with the sunset finishing off the tour.

5.00This was a great experience. Our tour guide Dennis was brilliant. It was like being part of a David Attenborough Our Planet episode. It was great to see a variety of Australian wildlife including crocs and everything well explained (and funny).

5.00What a beautiful way to experience what Kakadu has to offer. Very informative guides who are passionate about the area, with a good mix of aboriginal & modern history and nature.
