Acropolis
The Acropolis of Athens is a rocky hill 156 meters above sea level and approximately 70 meters above the level of the city of Athens. The Parthenon is a temple built in honor of the goddess Athena, patroness of the city of Athens. Τhe architects who worked were Iktinos, Kallikratis, and possibly Phidias (5th century BC). Finally, we will see the Erechtheion with the famous Karyatidis and the Propylaea.

5.00Nick our driver was a retired teacher who returned to school to get his degree in history. He knew EVERTHING about Athens and shared his enthusiasm and love for his city and country. It was one of the best tours I’ve ever taken! Nick was an excellent speaker and driver, he took us to places a scheduled tour would not. Fantastic!

5.00Andreas was a wonderful guide and driver. He even took us to see a meat market for our son for his cluinary class. Was wonderful to talk to and he even got us a delicious dessert and bread to take with us for coffee later. Couldn't have asked for a better guide.
