  It was a long day, but very enjoyable with the right mix of travel time and time to explore. Our favourite part was having Philip as our tour guide for The Sound Of Music tour! He is knowledgeable and fun!

  I think it would have been better to just do one tour a day instead of doubling up. But all good. Even in the rain it all worked out

  It is a long day - 10 hours. Not much time to eat in between. I think the tour to the village was too long - that was before the sound of music tour. I would have skipped out. It takes over an hour to get there and 2 hours in the town with not much to do. Being an umbrella rains often

  The town of Hallstatt was lovely. The Sound of Music Tour was interesting and I learned a lot about the various film shoots from the movie. While on the bus, there was a lot of singing along to songs from the film, and the mood was energetic and lively throughout the tour.

  Both of these tours were great! On the Halstatt tour we drove through the beautiful countryside with our guide describing where we were along the way. Halstatt itself is such a beautiful little lakeside town. We were allowed time to explore it on our own, our guide gave us ideas of how we might want to spend our time there. It was so picturesque. Then we returned along a different route. We got back just in time to get on the Sound of Music tour. It was so much fun! Our guide knew so much not only about the movie and the sites where it was filmed, but the whole area we traveled through as well as the actors in the movie and the real Von Trapp family. We sang and had such a wonderful time!

  Hallstatt was beautiful & worth the trip to see. The Sound of Music tour was amazing! Loved seeing all the beautiful film sites. And our guide, Kylie, was the best! So enthusiastic, friendly & informative. Loved it all!

• Terrible Service & Hallstatt Too Crowded

  Completely disappointed in this tour company. For $175 per person, the coach was old and dirty and we could’ve taken an uber for cheaper and nicer. Family of 4 and we were told to scatter all over the bus to separate seats- very terrible to not group people together by their reservations. They didn’t care that 3 couples each took a window and left the aisle seat open and proceeded to talk to each other along the the window side- selfish and unenjoyable. My family wasn’t even near each other (even though we arrived 20 minutes prior to departure. The bus company can control the seating, they just choose not to. And worse they would not allow us to find seats together on the hour bus ride back to Salzburg. Hallstatt was picturesque but unenjoyable because there were trucks up and down the 1 lane street and tourist groups pushed along the sidewalks bumping into each other. Honestly not enjoyable on the bus or in the town. Would not ever do this tour again. Stay in Salzburg and enjoy the town there or do the lake region on your own.

  The tour guides were very enthusiastic and enhanced the experiences. The village of Hallstatt was magical, and the Sound of Music tour was amazing.
