Begin your day with a scenic drive to Materuni Village near Mount Kilimanjaro. Materuni Waterfalls is a super day out from Arusha. The trip was flexible and the guide during the falls was very well informed.

We had a day at the end of our safari tours, so we contacted Ally. He is very responsive and flexible in terms of schedules and pick up/drop off. We had a wonderful time visiting the Materuni Fall, the Chemka Hot Spring as well as the coffee making in the Chaga village. The lunch was also very good with all the traditional Tanzanian food, something not readily available in a hotel or resort. Highly recommended! One thing you might want to pay attention is the type of car. Ours is a small van which is not an AWD. It got overheated on the way up the mountain and we had to be transferred to another car. Fortunately, it was done with very little down time.
Excellent tour. 100% recommendable.

A brilliant experience at Materuni. Watching the coffee being made from scratch was fascinating, and we learnt a lot about the process before having a go ourselves. the traditional Tanzanian songs and atmosphere made it even more special. the coffee was excellent fresh, rich, and beautifully prepared. Highly recommended if you’re in the area

We had such a wonderful day visiting Materuni Waterfalls, and our guide Alprince made the experience so relaxing. From start to finish, he created a calm atmosphere, taking care of all the details so we could simply enjoy the journey. The hike through the lush landscape was peaceful and full of natural beauty, and when we reached the waterfall, it was breathtaking. Alprince shared insights about the local area and culture - We had plenty of time to take in the scenery and enjoy the moment. If you’re in Arusha and looking for a memorable day trip, I highly recommend Materuni Waterfalls with Alprince as your guide.

I had an amazing daytrip to Materuni waterfall. The hike was beautiful through the breathtaking landscape and we could go swimming at the waterfall after the walk. Our local guide Alprince was guiding us through the whole day making us feel very comfortable. I can only recommend this company!

We had the day tour with our guide Jonny, including hike to the waterfall, delicious Swahili lunch and local coffee experience. Jonny was amazing company, an excellent storyteller and we felt very well taken care of from the beginning to the end. We can only highly recommend this your if you want to learn about Chaga tribe end enjoy incredible landscapes.

It was an amazing experience. John Martin was incredible. He was so informative and helpful all day . We cannot recommend him enough . Tanzalux was super great the food and scenery was very memorable.

after the safari, it was necessary to travel from Arusha to Kilimanjaro to fly to Zanzibar. To pass the time took a tour of the falls from Joni and didn't regret it. The whole day flew by like a moment, a lot of positive emotions. Lunch and the coffee-making ceremony were at 1,800 meters on the mountain, then the clouds went and the mountain appeared, it was just unforgettable. I recommend it unequivocally.
