Obidos
Óbidos was home to Celts, Romans, Visigoths and Moors. Offered to queens as a dowry, it is preserved with the love that has always been given to it. It's the Christmas village of chocolate, literature and the most famous Portuguese liqueur, Ginjinha. And what better place to try it than at "Loja do Américo"? Here, hosts Zélia and Luís Filipe keep alive the centuries-old family recipe for this delicious liqueur, which is entirely handmade and organic.
Nazare
With our hearts warmed, we set off for Nazaré, now known for the biggest waves in the world. Here lie the secrets of the seven skirts that the oldest women are still proud to wear. Here you will meet the elder Mrs. Carolina. A big friend of mine for 18 years and with lots of stories to tell. The panoramic views from this place are breathtaking.

5.00A full day tour with Joao was booked through our travel agency and all I can say is, we hit the jackpot with the best guide we could’ve hoped for!! Not only was he knowledgeable, he was fun!! He went above and beyond to ensure my family had a memorable day and when the tour was over, we left thinking how much fun it would be to do another tour with him again before we left. We will definitely book with Joao the next time we visit Portugal to explore other areas!

5.00From the moment we were picked up at the hotel it was immediately known the day was going to be a great one. João was early for our pickup and took us around to three cities with all great knowledge. The day was flexible and we were brought to an amazing lunch. P.S there are surprises and they are worth it !

5.00Very knowledgeable and friendly guide! John guided us on a four day journey visiting many sights from Lisbon south to Evora, Beja, Silves and finally Lagos. The return trip back Lisbon was made more enjoyable by John taking a completely different route, more to the west and therefore different geography making it quite interesting. Highlights; - Discovery monument with the detailed explanation of the compass - beautiful portages countryside. - the many castles and fortresses - wonderful restaurants and food. Many that John took us to - wonderful pleasant personality of our Guide!

5.00We were a group of friends (4) and booked this tour with Yolo Tours Portugal in October 2024. Our private guide (which is a big advantage) , Joao-Paulo , was Exciting throughout our stay. He is passionate about his beautiful country, Portugal. He knows how to listen to everyone and knows how to go off the beaten track, always with surprises in support. That’s what differentiates it from the others! He speaks five languages fluently, so they leave no one without information Which is a plus. Three Canadians were with us, it was great. We highly recommend Yolotours Portugal and Joao-Paulo. We will return soon for his other services and thus continue the visit of his beautiful Country! Sylvie from TOULOUSE.🤩
