You’ll start the tour from the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, the famous workshops where they worked on the construction of the Cathedral, and then you head to the Baptistery which is famous for its golden Byzantine mosaics. Next, the tour will continue with the entrance to the Cathedral, introducing you to the discovery of the artistic beauties of the Cathedral, including a visit to the Crypt of Santa Reparata.
Inside the New Cathedral Museum, you will find the original of the Gates of Paradise, Donatello's Magdalene and Michelangelo's Pietà. Thanks to this tour you will get to know the complete history of the splendid Cathedral of Florence, and the monuments of its complex, an opportunity to be seized on the go!
The guide will then leave you free to conclude the tour with the ascent to Brunelleschi's Dome from which you can enjoy the aerial view of an incomparable panorama of the city of Florence.

4.00I really enjoyed not waiting in the very long line for general admission. Our guide was very knowledgeable, personable, and super funny. Plus he loves what he does and you can really feel the passion and respect for the artists and artisans of the past. The only reason this was not a 5 star review is I felt really rushed. We spent about 10 minutes total in the cathedral museum and I could have used about 30 more added to the total tour.
A workout with great views

4.00Yes it's a workout but just consider it burning off lunch calories! Joking aside, if you're travelling with someone who is not in good health then don't climb to the top. Be prepared for steep, narrow staircases. However, the views are worth it. Luckily there are different breakout stops so if you decide the entire climb is not for you then you can head back down. I enjoyed it and got some great pics!
Definitely climb the tower!

5.00The climb is worth every step! The view of the dome is excellent and your pictures will be amazing! The dome may be booked, but you won’t mind because you got pictures of it at eye level from the tower. Do it!!!
