Capuchin Church is centrally located near the State Opera in Vienna's city centre and is known for the Imperial Crypt, which served as the Habsburg burial site for centuries. Its modest interior is also its major asset - visitors are fascinated by the wooden furnishings. In pre-Christmas time, the concerts in the heated church span a majestic arc of festive trumpet music and the finest Christmas carols - what a wonderful way to prepare for the approaching Christmas in a contemplative and joyful way.
Imperial Crypt
Book a combo ticket and combine your concert visit with the most famous crypt in the world, the Capuchin Crypt, located directly under the Capuchin Church. The burial place of about 150 members of the Habsburg dynasty since 1618 lets you feel 400 years of Austrian and European history. Marvel at the tombs of famous ruling personalities, such as Emperor Franz Joseph and his beautiful wife Elisabeth "Sisi" or the impressive double coffin of Empress Maria Theresa. Last admission to the crypt is at 17:30, so it can be wonderfully combined with the concert.

5.00The concert was one of the best I’ve ever been to. We went on 04.07, there was no line, so we quickly got in. The performers started right on time and delivered an amathing performance. The acoustics were also great. Too bad you can’t record the concert.

5.00If I had just one word to describe this experience that word would be beautiful. The church was simple yet elegant. When I heard the musicians warming up I knew I was going for be in for a wonderful evening. The sound was great and the music brought both a smile to my face and a tear to my eye. Tears of joy for the sure beauty of the music. When in Vienna you’re walking in the footsteps of the great composers so why not hear their music. Highly suggest to all

5.00We stumbled upon this Concert and were surprised at the talent, intimacy, and beautiful church in which we heard music from the great musicians. It's in a perfect location. Only 4 musicians had all this talent to make you feel that you were at the Opera House. The acoustics in the church is amazing, as well as the statues and design.

5.00Beautiful! The musicians were extremely talented, and very professional. The church was a beautiful backdrop. The acoustics were amazing. I went to the crypt at 5:30, then went and got dinner and came back for the 7 o’clock performance. Heads up — the crypt closes at 6 pm.
