Take home awe-inspiring photographs of Alaska! With a maximum of 4 participants per tour, you will receive a personalized photography experience featuring panoramic landscapes, majestic mountains, and reflection ponds. Our photo guides are expert photographers and light-wranglers; they will be your location scout, driver, and instructor – seeking out the best locations and the most dramatic lighting in real time. Guides provide individualized instruction so you can hone your skills as you capture beautiful images that will last a lifetime. This guided excursion offers one-on-one attention and allows you to feel like you have the locations all to yourself for a truly immersive experience.

Our tour is designed to benefit all skill levels with any type of camera (smart-phones welcome). No matter what gear you have, our guides will be able to help you progress as photographer. Beginners will learn techniques to get more out of their equipment; how to read light and adjust their exposure settings to photograph Alaska’s stunning scenery and wildlife in a way that “does it justice.” Advanced photographers will enjoy the luxury of being driven to the best locations without having to rent a car or trying to scout the vast and unfamiliar landscape.

Professional tripods and filters are provided. Digital cameras with long zoom lens are available to rent, and guests keep the memory card.

We are not big photographers but definitely appreciate the beauty of nature. Abby was fun, witty and very knowledgeable about the region. She showed us all the gorgeous views as well as finding us local wildlife. Highly recommend this trip to anyone that just enjoys a late, laid back evening of good company and great views.

My wife and I had a great time on our excursion with Jack Lee. He's personality and ability to make taking a great cell phone photo very simple was amazing. I highly recommend taking a class with Jack to make the rest of your photos while in Alaska really pop.

Jack Lee took us on our photo expedition which we booked thru Holland America. We got to see and photograph landscapes, a swan, an eagle, and a young moose right beside the road. Jack helped us take better photos by suggesting quite a few changes to our iPhone settings and gave us tips on editing in the phone. Jack also got me to realize that my 12+ year old Sony A77 had an object tracking feature that I’ve been able to use in the days after our outing. Lots of personal attention since there were only 3 clients in the car!

It was a great experience for my wife and I. We just happened to be the only ones signed up for this visit so it was very personalized. Ryan was very helpful and gave us unique opportunities to photograph the area. We are both experienced photographers, so while he was prepared to help us with any basics, he was also very knowledgeable to give us more advanced tips and suggestions. At one location, he had us try long exposure photography, which yielded some very nice shots. We did not have our tripods with us but Ryan had a couple that he let us use. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend this excursion with Ryan to anyone considering the option.

Excellent experience. Beautiful spots chosen. Joe Glass is an experienced photographer but would not hesitate to teach the beginners. He is very professional and knowledgeable.

Jack taught us lots about how to take better pictures with our iPhones and we got to see moose, a bald eagle and swan. Lovely evening away from the crowds and going off the beaten track…literally! 😊 Thanks Jack

Jack gave a great tour! The weather was not cooperating, but the tips, and tour was still amazing! We saw wildlife and were able to talk about settings and composition. Would definitely do it again!
