Guests will be welcomed into a professional kitchen space overlooking the Douro River for a relaxed pastry and wine experience. The experience takes place in a dedicated culinary setting designed for small groups and hands-on baking. We will begin with a short introduction to éclairs and the ingredients we will use. Guests will learn how to prepare pastry cream, understand the basics of choux pastry, and discover how éclairs are traditionally filled and glazed. While the éclairs bake and cool, guests can relax, enjoy local wine, and take in the beautiful Douro views in a warm and intimate atmosphere. At the end of the experience, each guest will fill, decorate, and taste their own éclairs while learning practical pastry techniques they can recreate at home.

We had a wonderful time at Éclairs of the Douro. The experience was warm, relaxed and very hands-on from the beginning. We learned how to make éclairs step by step — from preparing the choux pastry, piping it, baking it, making the chocolate cream and finishing everything with a beautiful glaze. The host explained everything clearly and patiently, so it was easy to follow and really fun. The setting was also amazing, with beautiful views over the Douro and a peaceful atmosphere away from the busy city center. At the end, we enjoyed the éclairs we made together with wine, cheese and the sunset, which made the whole experience feel very special. It was delicious, personal and memorable.
