In addition to visiting Shurijo Castle and the surrounding World Heritage sites, you will enjoy traditional Okinawan cuisine, learn about traditional crafts, and visit a street lined with traditional pottery stores.

It has a long history of rebuilding despite repeated loss of buildings due to war damage and fires. Located on a hill overlooking the city of Naha, visitors can enjoy a beautiful view of the vermilion-lacquered buildings against the blue sky of Okinawa. The castle is home to many cultural heritage sites, so learn about Okinawan culture and history while listening to the explanations of your guide.
Shureimon Gate
Shurei-mon gate: This is the main gate of Shuri Castle, built in the Chinese architectural style. It is commonly called Shureimon because of the words "Shurei-no-kuni" written on the oblong plaque. Enjoy this spot known as one of the landmarks of Okinawa because of its beautiful design.
