It’s hard to resist a glimpse of Michelangelo’s David – the gem of Italian sculptures – at the Accademia Gallery. On this tour you'll get to visit the impressive Renaissance collection. The Tribune is where the gallery’s star statue can be found. The colossal statue of David packs a punch, created by 26-year-old Michelangelo from a solid piece of marble. It’s a revolutionary interpretation of David before the act of killing Goliath.
Step inside the Museum of Musical Instruments to explore an elegant collection of string and wind instruments including a one-of-a-kind Stradivari viola, decorated with the Medici family crest.

2.00I’ve done this tour twice in a year and a half. The first time was great. Very informative and easy to understand. This last guide was very weak in her English language. I turned off the headphones halfway through.

3.00The tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. Meeting point is confusing, you go to the small square but then go to the tour shop. Tour was about 45 minutes. I would purchase a ticket directly from the museum if you can. Not sure if it was worth 49 Euro each.

3.00The tour started very late due to latecomers and others failing to turn up at all! We did not like the fact that one of the tour organisers (we presume) tried to force us to join a group with the latecomers who had young children and a crying very young baby. We refused on the basis that we did not pay £80+ to be distracted by a crying baby. The tour operator begrudgingly relented. Our eventual tour guide, Camilla, was pleasant, engaging and knowledgeable however this was not enough to compensate for a tour which only lasted 40 minutes! This tour was not good value for money and we would not recommend. Choose a different company!
The “skip the line”...

4.00The “skip the line” tickets are absolutely imperative. We travelled towards the end of the low season, but the lines were still amazingly long. Our tour guide provided a very in depth analysis of the David statue from all angles. Once the tour was over, we were free to continue exploring the museum on our own.

5.00We thought Martina did an excellent job at f explaining the sculptures and art as it when from one time period to the next. The statue of David is breathtaking
