Haedong Yonggungsa
Haedong Yonggungsa is one of the few Buddhist temples in Korea located right by the sea, offering stunning views of the East Sea. Built in 1376 during the Goryeo Dynasty, the temple is known for its unique coastal setting, peaceful atmosphere, and striking statues including the golden Buddha. Visitors can walk along a scenic path, cross a stone bridge, and enjoy the harmony of nature and spirituality. It's a perfect place to find inner peace while soaking in breathtaking ocean views. UN Memorial Cemetery
The United Nations Memorial Cemetery is the world's only UN memorial cemetery, where fallen UN soldiers who gave their lives for the cause of world peace and freedom are laid to rest. As a UNESCO World Heritage Park, it offers a detailed insight into South Korea's war history. In November 1955, the National Assembly of South Korea resolved to permanently donate this land to the United Nations as a gesture of gratitude for the sacrifices of UN forces, designating the cemetery as a sacred site. 5.00An amazing tour. We took a tour with Viator on 6/22/26 from our cruise line. From the beginning it was smooth pick up. Our guide picked us up right where we depart from our cruise ship. We loved that he some English very well. We saw so many different places. Our favorites were Gamcheon Cultural Village and the Cloud Bridge. Each place has their own unique personality and beauty. Our tour guide Ya Ya was great. He spoke about the history of each site which we truly appreciate. We also enjoyed the private van with AC instead of a full tour bus. Korean food and snacks are also delicious. We would rate this tour 10/10 and would book with them again!

5.00We had the most delightful guide his name YaYa, he spoke to us in details about South Korea’s origins, war history and the gratitude to the UN and allies who fought for their freedom in 1951. We visited Haedong Yonggungsa Buddhist temple by the sea. We visited the United Nations Memorial Cemetery Korea first to watch a film then into a photographic exhibition then a walk through areas of interest to our group. Lastly after a lunch break we visited the oldest area in Busan, Gamcheon, a walkthrough street with shops selling wares overlooking painted houses built into cliff faces. A really lovely day. Back at cruise terminal in plenty of time.

3.00Good pickup & return, knowledgeable guide but some key itinerary points not visited due to time constraints. Less shopping would be good to fit in things like the sky bridge & cable car as priorities
