Mariacristina Mona was an absolute delight to be with while exploring the area around Castelmezzano. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable but warm and engaging and a great storyteller. The hike was delightful as spring flowers were in bloom and sky’s were clear and sunny. I highly recommend this experience for anyone that enjoys the great outdoors.

To visit absolutely! Wonderful! Castelmezzano is a little gem! Petrapertozza is also a very impressive village! The small Dolomites in Basilicata deserve themselves;)

Castelmezzano is a small life-size nativity scene. To be lived inside to savor its beauty. Pietrapertosa, another beautiful village perched on the Lucanian Dolomites. You can take the path of the 7 stones that leads from one town to another, or a unique experience, you can go from one town to another with the Flight of the Angel.
