Kaikoura has one of the largest number of different types of seabirds within a small area than anywhere along the New Zealand coastlines. On your arrival in Kaikoura you may enjoy either an early lunch or have free time to explore Kaikoura before being transferred to Ocean Wings Albatross Encounter. Experience the sensation of getting close to the mighty albatross, one of the world's largest flight birds. 4.00Friendly & informative. We got to see plenty of Albatrosses and other Pelagic birds and learned about them too. Just want to mention, it was a pretty small boat which was fine for us, but if you are nervous out at sea, you might want to reconsider this particular trip, but the company does have other trips on offer. Kaikoura is a lovely town and worth a visit.
