The Wizard of Oz Museum invites families to step into a fantastical celebration of the cherished American fairy tale, utilizing cutting-edge technology that projects images across the walls and floor.
Its Immersive Wizard of Oz Experience reveals the magical land that Dorothy and her beloved companions explored-- a place where a tornado swirls, mice pull the Cowardly Lion out of a field of poppies, and the yellow brick road winds into the Emerald City.
The museum also offers the Immersive Van Gogh exhibit; a kid-friendly, interactive munchkin room brimming with Oz toys from the 20th century; a guided tour; and a unique collection of rare artifacts from the story’s remarkable history.

5.00Enjoyed this a lot. So much information on the history of the book. L. Frank Baum actually wrote 40 books altogether. Owner very knowledgeable. There were original items from the movie.

5.00The Museum was amazing. The amount of Oz items and history presented was fabulous. The owner was nice attentive and very knowledgeable and helpful with information or any questions. Would completely recommend to people coming down this way awesome activity to stop and see.

5.00If you’re into the wizard of oz memorabilia, this is a fun way to spend some time. The museum tour is self-guided with QR codes on each display case. There is a lot of good history about the early (before the movie) productions and just how many books LFrank Baum wrote. There were quite a few collectibles from the 80’s and 90’s that I could have skipped. There was a little information on the spin-off movies “The Wiz” and “Return to Oz.” Virtually nothing on the “Wicked” books, musicals, and movies, much to my disappointment. There are some mannequins of the characters and some disturbing flying monkeys (taxidermied baboons with wings) for photo ops. The highlight of the museum is the immersive video room. There must have been 30 projectors set up pointing at all 4 walls and the floor. It plays a 360 degree projection on a continuous loop for about 30 min. When the last people in front of us left, leaving only my daughter and me in the room, we had a blast, running and dancing through the room, which is pretty much encouraged. :) I hope there weren’t any cameras in there.
