On the first day, explore the beautiful sand dunes of Elsen Tasarkhai, enjoy a memorable camel ride, and visit a local nomadic family to experience their traditional way of life. Spend the evening relaxing in a traditional Mongolian ger camp surrounded by peaceful natural scenery.
On the second day, travel to Khustai National Park, home to the world's only successfully reintroduced population of wild Przewalski's horses (Takhi). Day 1 Ulaanbaatar → Semi-Gobi (Elsen Tasarkhai) 08:00 – Hotel Pick-up in Ulaanbaatar Meet your guide and driver at your hotel 11:30 – Arrival at Elsen Tasarkhai Sand Dunes 12:30 – Camel Riding Experience Meet a local camel herder and enjoy a relaxing camel ride across the sand dunes. 13:30 – Traditional Mongolian Lunch Enjoy a delicious Mongolian lunch at a nearby ger camp. 14:30 – Visit a Nomadic Family Visit a local nomadic family to learn about traditional Mongolian lifestyle. You may try: • Mongolian milk tea • Homemade dairy products • Traditional snacks 15:30 – Free Time to Explore the Sand Dunes Take photos, walk along the dunes, and enjoy the peaceful desert scenery. Check-in at Ger Camp or tourist camp 18:30 Dinner Enjoy a traditional Mongolian dinner at the camp. Overnight Spend the night in a traditional Mongolian ger surrounded by peaceful natural scenery.
Hustai National Park
Day 2 Semi-Gobi → Khustai National Park → Ulaanbaatar 11:00 – Arrival at Khustai National Park Arrive at the park visitor center. Activities: • Park entrance registration • Introduction to Takhi wild horses conservation program • Small museum visit about Mongolia’s wildlife and ecosystem 12:00 – Wildlife & Wild Horse Watching Drive deeper into the national park to observe wildlife. Possible animals: • Takhi (Przewalski’s wild horses) • Red deer • Marmots • Mongolian gazelles • Eagles and steppe birds 13:30 – Traditional Mongolian Lunch Lunch at a local ger camp near the national park. 14:30 – Nomadic Culture Experience After lunch enjoy cultural activities: Optional activities: • Visit a nomadic family • Learn about traditional ger (yurt) lifestyle • Horse riding in the steppe (optional extra) 15:30 – Return to Ulaanbaatar Drive back to the city while enjoying the scenic Mongolian countryside. 17:30 – Arrival in Ulaanbaatar Drop-off at your hotel.
