We loved the Assisi Leather Tour we did with Mary Angela! It was so fun to learn about how leather crafts are made. We enjoyed meeting Fabrizio and buying some beautiful, handmade leather goods at a store we could trust for the quality and craftsmanship. We also had a really delicious lunch with Mary Angela and she kept us engaged with stories about her life, asked us lots of questions about our family, and shared a lot of info about Italian culture and the heritage of Umbria. We stopped by a delicious pastry shop for the recommended raisin bread which was warm and delicious. Finally, we walked to the Basilica di San Francesco. She explained quite a bit about the basilica even though we couldn’t do the guided tour as initially planned because the basilica wasn’t allowing them at the time. She communicated the changes clearly and helped us decide on a new plan. We were so grateful for her organization and for how she showed us a different side of Assisi than we would have gotten otherwise. A very fun day!

We saw so much of Assisi and Mary Angela is very knowledgeable of the area. She took us to a wonderful leather shop that she knows is authentic. The owner does his own designs! It was wonderful. I also appreciated that Mary Angela had a very kind disposition toward the children in our group. I would highly recommend this tour.
