Surfing can be the most incredible experiences. Surfing takes practice, patience, and will leave you with a better appreciation for the ocean.

You will meet me down at the beach where I will have the surfboard, leash, and a wetsuit to keep you nice and warm!

After going over safety precautions and etiquette about being a beginner surfer, we will begin teaching you proper paddling technique, the pop-up, as well as how to reach the lineup. Once we have gone over the basics on the beach and we practice a couple times on the sand, we are ready to hit the water!

I will be with you the entire time, not surfing like so many other instructors do these days. I want your time to be spent truly learning how to surf and not just struggling while I get paid to have fun!

I begin my lessons helping new students get into waves to practice their pop-up, giving critique when needed. After a few good practice waves, I usually start "helping" less and less, not pushing you into waves as hard.

Surfing is one of the purest ways to feel connected to the ocean, but it can be quite a challenge! With over 5 years of experience teaching surf lessons, we are certain that you will leave the lesson with a smile on your face. We will teach the basics of surfing; how to paddle out to the lineup, how to position yourself in the lineup, how to catch waves and stand up, and potentially; how to ride along the face of the wave! Surfing can be challenging, but if you come into the experience with a determined mindset and you put the effort into it, you are sure to succeed!

I had a great time out on the waves learning to surf. Our instructor was Brennan and we didn’t feel pressured but also learned a ton!! We definitely will be coming back

Justin was the perfect instructor for our daughter’s first surf lesson. He had all the patience and personality to make the lesson easy going and fun. These guys were on top of it for communication before hand on where to be and when and what to expect and then they exceeded expectations with an awesome experience. Couldn’t be more pleased with the service and next time we’re coming back for a bike trip.
THE place to go to learn how to surf. Why are you waiting, just book it! You won't be disappointed!

If you want to learn how to surf, go to Cal Coast Adventures. I had a lesson with Brennan, and I was riding a wave within 20 minutes. He was extremely knowledgeable and a great teacher. Both Brennan and Elias made you feel welcome and excited to get out there. This is the place to go!

5 stars all the way! I can to Solana Beach for the week with my 2 young boys 10 and 11. Surf was on the list and these guys did not disappoint! Brennan and Justin took great care of all 3 of us and we had the best time while learning to surf and enjoy the waves. Highly recommend them both! Amazing!

Had such an amazing surf lesson with Elias! It was my first time surfing, but I felt very comfortable and safe during the lesson. He gave so many useful tips and encouragement. Great clean equipment

Cal Coast Adventures, and their amazing employee, Ladd, crushed it! We came from the East Coast for a visit, and my 2 teenage boys took a first-time surfing lesson with Ladd on April 15, 2022. He was energetic, positive, encouraging, and super professional. He made the experience memorable and we would go out of our way to use this company again, and I would most definitely ask to work with Ladd again. Thank you!!!
