Temple of the Golden Buddha (Wat Traimit)
The Golden Buddha, officially titled Phra Phuttha Maha Suwanna Patimakon ,commonly known in Thai as Phra Sukhothai Traimit is a gold Maravijaya Attitude seated Buddharupa statue, with a weight of 5.5 tonnes (5,500 kilograms). It is located in the temple of Wat Traimit, Bangkok, Thailand. At one point in its history, the statue was covered with a layer of stucco and coloured glass to conceal its true value, and it remained in this condition for almost 200 years, ending up as what was then a pagoda of minor significance. During relocation of the statue in 1955, the plaster was chipped off and the gold revealed.
Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimonmangkalaram Ratchaworamahaviharn
It is located on Rattanakosin Island directly south of the Grand Palace Known also as the Temple of the Reclining Buddh. This temple linked with King Rama because he rebuilt this temple. The grand royal temple complex that holds a (151-foot) 46-m Reclining Buddha. The temple multifarious houses the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand. The temple is well thought- out the earliest centre for public education in Thailand.

5.00The Buddha head within the bodhi tree is exceptional - you can’t help but be captured by the symbolism of it. We were amazed by the evident technological sophistication of the ancient denizens of ayutthaya. English signage is difficult to understand and in particular, western dates are not provided. Therefore, if you can, bring your own maps and information to understand fully what you are seeing.
