All participants must be able to swim independently, comfortable in the water, and able to understand English to be able to safely participate in the tour
Minimum age is 12 years old. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian booked on the same tour.
Glasses cannot be worn under the goggles. Please bring contact lenses if required.
We provide a thermal undersuit and dry suit to wear over your clothing while snorkeling
PLEASE BRING: Warm base layers, preferably made from fleece or wool (not cotton), warm socks, a small towel and a change of clothes (just in case)
Medical issues outlined in our handbook require doctors approval to join the tour (e.g., asthma, diabetes). Some conditions mean guests cannot participate.
Pregnant people are unable to participate due to the risk of water entering the suit

Experience one of the world’s most unique snorkeling sites: the Silfra Fissure in Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 5.00Israel was sooooo great!!! The experience is otherworldly- beautiful and strange!!! The equipment was great (our bodies were warm). Israel was attentive and informative and grounding, the other staff were very helpful. We were very glad we did this!

5.00It was super fun to snorkel in Silfra, Markita was nice, she explained very well all the steps and took nice pictures of us. The suit can be a bit tight at the beginning, but once you get used to it and you don't think about it anymore it's fine! Don't expect fishes, but the blue water and cool rock formation make the experience quite unique.

Also I wanted to say our Tour guide Israel from Spain was the nicest down to earth person I've met out here. Very professional and just a funny, good, humble guy.

5.00This was my family's 2nd tour with Arctic Adventures. Not only were the 2 tours literally "chances of a lifetime," the tour company itself (customer service) is spot on!! Snorkeling Silfra was an exhilarating experience! Though our hands and lips were cold, our bodies stayed warm. Our guide Isra ensured utmost safety and comfort. Snorkeling in the crystal clear waters and embracing the fact that we were between 2 continents made the cold totally worth it. The tour is a great value, too...not too pricey for such a unique adventure! One more thing about the company itself....I had 2 or 3 issues to work though (my fault, not their's) and their customer service through the chat feature was exceptional! I was unable to call due to international calling issues, but through the chat, they were prompt, thorough, and helped until the issues were fully resolved to perfect satisfaction!
