Berserkjahraun
Berserkjahraun is a 4000 years old lava field situated on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. In one of the Icelandic Saga Heiðavíga Saga that the name Berserkjahraun comes from two berserks that Víga-Styr used to clear path through the lava field. When the berserks had cleared the path Víga-Styr had them killed while they were taking a bath and were vulnerable. The path the two berserks cleared is called Berserkjagata. From the viewing platform is a beautiful view over the Berserkjahraun lava field and lake Selvatn and there is a short walk down to a small waterfall called Sauðafoss.
Ytri Tunga Beach
Ytri Tunga golden sand beach is a beautiful location where seals gather to relax and rest and perfect for seal watching.

This is a fantastic small group tour with only 18 passengers. We went to places that weren’t overcrowded with big bus groups. Iggy was our driver/guide and owns the company. His love of Iceland was evident as he shared lots of info about his native country. Our weather was sunny which made all the stops even more scenic! We even saw a glacier because it was such a clear day. There were a variety of stops - beach, coastal cliffs walk, seals, black church, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. This tour was designed for cruise ship passengers and pickup was right near the pier and drop off left us lots of time to get back on the ship before sailing time. I would highly recommend this tour company and tour.
