  Our Guide, Goncilo, was wonderful. Pick up was timely and since all pick ups were ready and waiting, we were able to make a couple of extra stops! This was a wonderful tour!!

  This tour was amazing and ended up being my favorite tour I took in Iceland. This was all made possible by Gonzalo, an absolute exceptional tour guide who’s passion for Iceland was evident throughout the tour. Pick up in the am was smooth and he was in fact 5 mins early. I was surprised when he called out my name because I had been accustomed to waiting from other tour experiences. We did so well on pick up in face gonazlo was able to squeeze in 3 additional hidden gems in addition to our scheduled itinerary. These hidden gems were so special I’m thankful to have seen more of snaefellsness peninsula than expected. Watching the seals in their natural habitat was so serene and peaceful. Homemade lunch at the horse farm was absolutely amazing. I have a gluten allergy and Gonzalo made sure to call ahead to notify the farm. Our hostess/ homecook was the sweetest and made sure I knew what I was able to eat and even had gluten free bread which is quite rare on a tour. I didn’t know what to expect from the snaefellsness peninsula but I can honestly say it had everything. We saw so many sites. Gonzalo went above and beyond. He’s actually the only tour guide in the 3 tours I took who actually came along on the sites answering questions and making sure everyone was on the right path. As a solo traveler I appreciated his offer of taking my picture at some of the sites which again he was only tour guide who offered. Thanks for looking out Gonzalo !

  This tour was awesome! A jam-packed day with awesome stop after awesome stop, and a wonderful guide. We had plenty of time at each location, and were never driving for more than ~an hour at a time (but often much less than that). Lots of opportunities to hit the restroom or find a snack as needed. Mona picked us up in a minibus at Bus Stop 3, and then we hit the road. (Side note: we booked through Wake Up Reykjavik, but this ran through East-West.) As we drove through Reykjavik and out to the peninsula, she gave us fun facts, pointed out cool sites, and played good music -- and kept that energy up alllll day for a very long tour. She kindly and patiently answered questions, and she was just as enthusiastic about the wildlife as we were, making a few unscheduled quick pullovers to show us cool birds (Arctic terns, eider ducks, oyster catchers), giving us tips on where to spot the seals at Ytri-Tunga, and pointing out the cutest fluffy lambs she saw. The minibus was a good size, both for the number of people and the amount of space we had. Lunch on the horse farm was delicious. Serve-yourself style with home-cooked family recipes (lamb from the family farm, cod caught at the nearby harbor, potatoes from the farm down the road, also salad, roasted veggies, rice, and dessert), and you could also go to the stables to pet the super friendly horses. Mona, you rock.

• The arctic fox hightlight

  Leroy led a great tour, he was friendly, organised, ontime and offered many interesting insights in Icelandic culture as well as points along the tour. Highlight was seeing an arctic fox on the beach at Djupalonssandur black beach. Fairly l9ng drive at start and end but many short drives once you get to the peninsula. Def worth doing the trip.

  What an awesome experience! We got to see and experience the best of what Iceland has to offer. The trip was made all the more special having Leroy as our guide. What an absolute gem of a person. Thank you for information and entertainment Leroy.
