Morning pick-up from your Hotel and proceed for a full day guided tour of New and Old Delhi, the capital of India has a fascinating history and a stimulating present. Believed to be the legendary Indraprastha described in the epic The Mahabharata" Delhi has been the seat of power for a number of dynasties -the Rajputs, The Muslim invaders from the North, the Afghan dynasties followed by Tughlaqs, Sayyads, the Lodis and the Mughals, who continued the imperial line, until British days
The sightseeing tour including Jama masjid, followed by Chandni chowk market by cycle rickshaw ride, then visit Red Fort. Afternoon post lunch visit Humayun’s Tomb, followed by India Gate, Parliament House, President House and then proceed to visit Lotus temple also known as the Bahai house of worship and end up with Qutab Minar, world’s tallest brick minaret. Evening transfer back to your Hotel.

Jama Masjid
Jama Masjid was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan between 1644 and 1656, and inaugurated by its first Imam, Syed Abdul Ghafoor Shah Bukhari.
Pasar Chandni Chowk
In the heart of Old Delhi, Chandni Chowk is a busy shopping area with markets full of spices, dried fruit, silver jewelry and vivid saris, while the narrow side streets are crowded with tiny shops selling essential oils, stationery and traditional Indian sweets. Nearby, the vast Mughal-era Red Fort now houses a museum complex, and the 17th-century Jama Masjid is a huge red-sandstone mosque with towering minarets.

5.00Well prepared trip with a driver and guide in each city that allowed us to see the sights of Delhi , Agra and Jaipur with plenty of time to take in the sights in our own time. The guides were well versed and provided detailed knowledge of the sights and cities. The Taj Mahal and Jaipur, and in Delhi the Qutab Minar, Humayun Tomb & Akshardam Temple were top of the list for us. Delhi has plenty to see and one needs more time to visit all sights but can be done in two days if doing key sights. The hotels were nice and would recommend booking in advance to get the hotels you want. All in all a lovely break and surprised by the hospitality and sights.
