The 45th parallel, is home to the worlds most famous wine-making regions AND Traverse City. Grapevines planted in the region enjoy the perfect amount of sunlight for optimal growth. When coupled with micro-climates created by Grand Traverse Bay, and fertile soil, this sets the perfect stage for delicious award-winning wines that rival centuries-old grapes produced in Europe & California.
This 4-Hour Sunset Tour features 3 of the highest rated wineries in the state of MI. Great views, award winning wine, and a sunset!

Tour Start/End Times for Sunday-Friday: 5:30pm-9:30pm
Tour Start/End Times for Saturdays: 4:30pm-8:30pm

For Monday-Thursday Sunset Tours, Stops will be: 1st- Hawthorne Vineyards or Chateau Chantal Winery, 2nd- Bonobo Winery, 3rd-Old Mission Distilling (In that order)

There is a total of 10-15 parking spots that are allotted for Magic Shuttle Bus customers. These are offered on a first come, first serve basis.
*GRATUITY of 15%-20% for the driver is strongly recommended
Customers are welcome to pack a lunch for the day, most wineries only offer small appetizers and snacks, no full meals
*DISCLAIMER: Magic Shuttle Bus does contact wineries if appointments do need to be made, keep in mind, these are not reservations and only allow us to come in at the desired time, but does not eradicate wait times.
Most wineries have outdoor seating only, please dress accordingly to stay warm on colder days
Since Covid, most wineries are not offering tastings, but rather flights and wine by the glass, and samples
Some wineries do not accept cash, they require payment to be on a card
We strongly recommend that you use an Uber/Lyft/Taxi to get to the pick up location, and for your return trip home.

Bowers Harbor Vineyards
The Beautiful Bowers Harbor was initially a horse farm and in 1991, began its transition to the stunning vineyard it is today. They have over 27 years of wine-making experience and boasts 20 acres of vines. Wine selections are numerous and include Riesling, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Grigio, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, hard ciders and more! *Tasting flights are about $5 for 5 wines. Small snacks, dips and locally crafted cheeses & spreads are also available for purchase.
Chateau Chantal Winery & Tasting Room
Chateau Chantal overlooks rolling vineyards and a breathtaking view of the bay. Located on a 65-acre estate in one of the most scenic areas of the Great Lakes, you can experience the views of East and West Grand Traverse Bays, Power Island, and rolling vineyards. Chateau Chantal focuses on Michigan wines, producing Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, and more.

5.00Our shuttle driver and host, Darren, was great! Funny, personable, and checked to make sure we had everything we needed and were having a good time. It was a bit pricey and none of the wine was included. We also didn’t love the last stop as it was a distillery instead of a winery but my understanding is that this was one of the only places on the peninsula that are open late. Darren actually did a bonus stop at the request of one of the gals in our group! Would highly recommend but be prepared for extra costs.

5.00It was a very nice tour. The wineries were beautiful and the service there was the great. Our tour guide, Scott, was the greatest! He was friendly, knowledgeable and kind. What else can you expect from a retired educator? Only the best of course! I would highly recommend the Magic Shuttle Bus.

5.00A great way to see beautiful wineries. The bus was clean and chill. Good amount of time was allotted at each winery. I will say these were very commerical wineries that didn't want to interact much with customers - not really a traditional wine tasting experience, but the views and atmosphere were great

5.00Excellent. We had a wonderful experience on this tour. We met our great host - Todd - and took off right at 5:30 with only two other people. However, our host still gave us an excellent experience and really went above and beyond (even added in an extra winery for us). The bus was clean and comfortable. The wineries were top notch. Todd was knowledgable and shared some great info. And we had the very best time!

5.00Darren was the best driver out there! We went on the Magic Shuttle Bus for my bachelorette party! He let us have fun on the bus, allowed us to play music and sing! Darren accompanied us into the wineries and on a rainy day he made sure we had seating! Darren didn’t linger but was still there if we needed him! Darren would grab us napkins or anything else we may have needed! I honestly can say that Darren is the best driver out there! My party and I never had a dull moment! He also took pictures of us at the wineries! Thank you Darren! I would 100% choose Darren again!

5.00Mr.Frizzle is AMAZING!! My husband and I grew up with the "Ms Frizzle", so we were astonished when we were greeted with Mr Frizzle for our 5 yr wedding anniversary wine tour. We had an amazing time, connected with every individual on the party bus and was a all in all great experience.

3.00Only visited one winery, and it was not one of the three listed on the booking. Other wineries were closed. Our tour guide was good and took us to a distillery and a brewery in downtown Traverse City. We had fun, but not at all what I expected. I would only recommend booking on a Friday or Saturday.
