Wizards, warriors, and a wee bit of seaside mischief - this small-group adventure’s got it all!
We’re heading south to the Anglo-Scottish border, where blood-soaked battlefields tell tales of centuries-old clashes. Then, it’s off to the jaw-droppingly gorgeous seaside village of Bamburgh. Fancy a wild run along the beach? Go for it! Want to explore the mighty Bamburgh Castle, standing proud since the 5th century? Even better.
But let’s be honest, you’re really here for Hogwarts, aren’t you? That’s right, we’re off to Alnwick Castle, where Harry Potter took his first broomstick flight! Soak up its spellbinding history, pose like a wizard, and channel your inner Gryffindor (or Slytherin, we don’t judge). And if you’re more into period drama than magic wands, you’ll be chuffed to know this grand fortress also starred in Downton Abbey.
Epic battles, coastal beauty, and a dash of movie magic, aye, this one’s a belter!

It is recommended to book transport to the departure point in advance. Please also allow extra time to get to the departure point for check-in. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour departure to allow time to check-in for the tour. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold the bus or refund for any late arrivals.
Return times are approximate and subject to road conditions and weather. Please ensure you allocate sufficient time for any onward travel plans, allowing at least 3 hours after the scheduled return time for connections or activities.
This tour may run in conjunction with our sister company, Highland Explorer Tours.
Collapsible wheelchairs with removable wheels can be accommodated providing the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them to board and disembark.
Due to vehicle availability, there may be instances where this tour runs on a bigger bus.
Minimum age to travel is 5 years old, while anyone aged 5-17 must be accompanied by an adult.

We head south through the border to Bamburgh, home to the mighty Bamburgh castle which overlooks the beautiful beach. Learn about the 5th century Kings of Northumbria, and enjoy some fresh air before continuing your adventure. Here you have the option to visit Bamburgh Castle (pay locally).
Alnwick Castle
Have your broomsticks at the ready as we're off to Hogwarts! Live out your Harry Potter dreams whilst marvelling at the magnificent medieval architecture and learning about the castle's over 700-year history.

5.00Alnwick castle has lots of different shows that go on all day. Enjoyed seeing the different hunting birds in action and where they were used. Tour guide has plenty of stories and easy to hear. We bought tickets to Alnwick castle on arrival, which was easy.

5.00The tour with Paul & Emily was great! The castle was beautiful, definitely opt to pay the extra amount to check out the gardens. Don’t forget to attend the broom riding class

5.00Communication was easy and clear. The whole tour was very entertaining and the timing was almost perfect. We would have liked a little more time for Bamburgh Castle. The tour was entertaining and interesting, also thanks to our tour guide Sophie. Highly recommended!

5.00Steven was really helpful! He was enthusiastic about things. He told the truth! He didn't talk about Whiskey because he knew that there was children on the ride. Our previous tour guides always sweared and always talked about Beer and Whiskey.
