Showcasing more than 3,500 years of glassmaking history, the Corning Museum of Glass features nearly 50,000 pieces of classic and contemporary glass art and objects. See works ranging from a small Egyptian pharaoh head to an enormous Tiffany window, and discover the wonder and artistry behind glassmaking. Explore the stunning day-lit Contemporary Art + Design Wing, which houses the best of the last 25 years in glass, and a 500-seat Amphitheater Hot Shop, a space dedicated to live glass demos and design sessions. See glass created before your eyes during a live, narrated Hot Glass Demo, and be inspired to experience glassmaking for yourself during a Make Your Own Glass workshop, with projects for all ages. Choose from fused picture frames and suncatchers, sandblasted drinking glasses, flameworked beads, pulled-glass flowers, delicate blown ornaments, and seasonal projects (additional fee). You can also search the gift shops for handmade glass treasures or grab a bite at the museum cafe. Spend as much time as you'd like at the museum touring at your own pace, and return the next day if you didn't get enough!

5.00At first glance, the museum seems small with only 2 floors, but the history of glass section is extensive and has a lot to see. The top floor has things like telescopes glass and there are 2 demos of glass blowing and flame blowing. There is a large gift shop on the first floor with expensive items but there is a sale section with reasonable pieces. I spent 2 1/2 hours there. Parking is free. We felt it was worthwhile.

5.00Very easy to navigate the museum. We bought our tickets through trip advisor and check in at the museum was easy and fast. The demonstrations were very interesting to watch. The glass items made were beautiful. Definitely worth the trip! The demonstrations are interactive and the people doing them are very informative and friendly!
If you are interested in glass, this place is for you.

5.00Admission tickets get you 2 days entry - brilliant. Museum is really interesting - try to get on the guided tour for added background to the exhibits. The shop is amazing. Demonstrations of glass blowing are worth watching. Ok, I’m a bit of a ‘glass nerd’ so am biased. Made a blown glass object although my involvement was minimal but nice to commemorate my visit from UK.
GO SEE THIS ! I’ve been wanting to go all my life and I finally did it! It’s wonderful.

5.00Fantastic place to visit. Very interesting. Both modern glass and extremely old glass dating back to the 800 AD. There is a cafe onsite and I highly recommend eating here. It’s BIG and has lots of food options. Don’t hesitate to eat here.

5.00We love glass art so this was a wonderful experience. frnkly, the gift shop alone is worth the visit. But the museum has a variety of exhibits that teach about the history of glass making, the differences in glass (with a glass breaking demo), a historical walk through the different eras of glass and glass decoration and more. There's demonstrations of glass blowing and you can (for an extra fee) even make your own glas art.
World Class Museum with World Class Hospitality and Accessibility; And, did I mention the hands-on fun too?

5.00My sister and I visited the Corning Museum of Glass for a quick getaway. While each of us had been there in our early adult years, we hadn't been back recently and are so glad we chose it for our girlfriend's getaway. She was on a knee scooter because of a recent accident, but it gave us the ability to also give this an accessibility test. Everything was awesome - and we took in the complete experience - in fact, adding in the optional make your own experience. The staff was both efficient and kind. From the admission folks to the store clerks to the teachers and demo providers, I felt that the staff was a model of customer service. Everything at the museum was in quality shape - there were no "missing" or "down" displays - and the interpretation of the exhibits was thorough and interesting. It was not crowded because there is so much space. We made sure to hit every section - 35 centuries of glass; the Innovation/Science area; and the contemporary art exhibit. We flowed easily between things both with the scooter and the wheelchair. Nothing was missed despite the mobility challenge. Hats off to those at the Glass Center for their attention to detail - and to the locals and staff who were helpful and friendly and fun!
This was our 3rd visit in 20 years enjoy each one of them.

5.00A wonderful place to take a little break after the holiday season. It was a great museum tour and downtown shopping ending the evening with a good dinner at the cellar!
