  We loved that Charles was a native and wanted to share his city. Good way to get in some steps and see a city that we're not familiar with.

• This was a forced march

  The guide walked much too fast. We started with about 20 people. Because of the fast pace we were soon down to 11 people. We left before the end and then there were 9 left.

• More walking than substance

  It was fine. Detroit is awfully spread out to make this more than long walks between short anecdotes. It would probably be better as a driving tour. Between locations our guide was very opinionated and a bit off putting, for example telling my wife that her favorite movie was the worst movie made by that director. Thanks? He was very knowledgeable about the locations and seemed to have genuine interest in the subject though.

  Eh. This wasn’t really a ghost tour, only the first stop really has anything to do with ghosts. The rest of the stops were just landmarks where famous people passed away or places where people passed away under mysterious circumstances. It was a fine walking tour and I learned some stuff about Detroit but it was only very loosely related to ghosts. It should be called “walking tour of mildly creepy landmarks”

• Not at all worth it. Wouldn't even do it again if it was free.

  This was not at all what I expected. You walk about a quarter mile to each location, of which there are about 4 or 5 locations or supposedly "haunted" buildings. Don't even get to go inside or anything. Then you end up a mile away from where you parked. I gave an extra star because the guide was very friendly, and knowledgeable. I paid for the extended tour and was checked out about halfway through the main tour. My girlfriend and I wanted to just walk away within the first 15 minutes, but we would have felt bad for the tour guide. Over all, very disappointed with this experience, and it was a waste of a Friday night.

  This was a great tour! My family and I enjoyed it. Like other reviewers stated, the guide does just make you leave the group on a random street like 20 walking minutes away from the starting point (your car)!

  We had a great time walking around town, learning about Detroit & visiting spots we would have missed if we hadn’t taken the tour! Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, & provided us with a great experience!

  Luckily, the weather was perfect for walking around Detroit, but the tour itself was pretty lame. Once the tour guide started making an argument that Prince haunts the Majestic Theater it became laughable.
