The app’s audio will play through your car’s Apple CarPlay and Android Auto display, while the app’s map will display on your phone. You can connect your phone to the car via Bluetooth to listen to the commentary through the car stereo.
Important Note: Please note that recent Kona storm impacts in Hawaiʻi have caused flooding, debris, and temporary road disruptions. Although conditions are getting better, some parts of Maui County and Hawaiʻi Island may still experience delays, cleanup work, or closures. Please review current road updates before your trip.
Important Note: Some stops on this tour may require advance reservations or separate admission. These include Akaka Falls, Place of Refuge (Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park), and Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, including sites such as Devastation Trail, Halemaʻumaʻu, Holei Sea Arch, Kīlauea Iki, and Thurston Lava Tube. Please check official websites before visiting.
Plan ahead for select stops: A few attractions on the route need advance booking or have limited space for walk-ins, so it’s best to check directly before visiting. Kula Kai Caverns and The Original Hawaiian Chocolate Factory require reservations, while Huliheʻe Palace and Lyman Museum welcome walk-ins when space allows, with reservations recommended.
Book tours and specialty experiences in advance: Hawai'i Tropical Botanical Garden and Botanical World Adventures offer general admission or day-pass access, but guided tours and certain activities must be reserved separately. At Anna Ranch Heritage Center, visitors can enjoy the grounds freely, though the historic home tour is strongly recommended to be booked at least 72 hours ahead.

Akaka Falls State Park
One of Hawaii's most famous waterfalls, stunning Akaka Falls plummets a sheer 440 feet into a gorge. Access is along a 750 foot trail with lush rainforest, bamboo, ferns and some wild orchids, so it's easy to see why it's so popular. Consider hiking the added 800 feet to Kahuna Falls and for the whole hike to take under an hour. To access the falls state park, we will pass through the eclectic, ex-plantation town of Honomu, where we can make a quick stop for a baked Hawaiian treat, Big Island coffee or even visit the goat dairy.

5.00Captain Mike was very knowledgeable about all the beautiful hidden gems that the landscape has to offer. He took us in a lava tube! So cool! Then he took us to several waterfalls and he made a point to go stop when the colors of the rainbow crossed the opening of the tubes while playing the song Somewhere Over the Rainbow. It was really special. Jazzy and Liliana were amazing as well. They talked with everyone and helped everyone enjoy the trip. Just FYI, you will get wet while on the boat. It was a fabulous experience and we would do it again! Mahalo for the adventure!

5.00It was a definite must do experience. We got to see many things that aren’t very well known to tourists! Actually got to see the lava spewing from Kilauea. Amazing…. Do it!!!

5.00I only paid $1 for this because of rewards, but I would’ve paid the full amount. A lot of our later trip ended up being suggestions from this app that we pretty much just let play as we drove from place to place we already had planned. We also got to learn a lot about the history of the island and some culture, which was awesome.

3.00The tour program was good and give some great guidance and recommendations. However, with today’s technology, the tour is not AirPlay capable and so the guidance is less effective, especially giving map directions to the attractions.
