This isn't just "old jewelry." The Holy Crown of Hungary has a history more dramatic than a Netflix series—it’s been stolen, buried, lost, and returned by the U.S. government. You will stand in the massive, 27-meter-high Dome Hall, watched over by stoic guards with drawn sabers, to see the crown and its tilted cross up close. It’s the symbolic heart of the nation.
You’ll ascend the Grand Stairway, a space so opulent it makes most European palaces look like a DIY renovation. Imagine walking past massive granite columns—of which only 12 exist in the entire world—under ceilings painted by Károly Lotz. Every inch of the walls is covered in gold leaf and intricate frescoes that tell the story of a thousand-year-old kingdom.

3.00The tour was just ok. A lot of history, but done at the pace of the narrator. Understandably, it has to be done in groups because of the sensitivity of the building, but we were a little bored by the duration of it.
Parliament Building tour was amazing, Viator reps not great (don't be put off, they are not all like that).

4.00The pre experience information/communication was great, clear to understand. However, when we arrived at the Parliament visitor's centre to meet with the Viator guides it went a little pear shaped. They were not where they said they would be at the time stated by them. We were left hunting around the very busy reception area trying to locate them. An official from the Parliament building saw us and took us to the two guides who were sort of tucked around a corner having a conversation! They then proceeded to herd their crowd to the stated meeting point and were quite abrupt with everyone. Certainly not the most friendly Viator representatives I've dealt with in the past. The tour of the building itself was amazing, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. This tour is a must do for anyone visiting Budapest.

Ticket Scalping

2.00This operator is basically a ticket scalper. If you buy tickets directly from the Parliament Ticket office, they are approximately $45 USD. This operator charged approximately $80 USD per ticket and provided no service other than retrieving the distributing the tickets outside the entrance to the tour. Surprised Viator allows this.

Total scam—buys all tickets and charges double

2.00This group buys up all the tickets to Parliament then charges double an already expensive entry. Don’t use them. If you can’t get a ticket from Parliament website, go in person day of. They appeared to have many spots open. These folks just gather you in a group and hand tickets out. No value add. The tour itself is pretty but short/pre recorded audio guide.
