As a Lowcountry Master Naturalist, your Captain will provide an in-depth narration of the ecology around you detailing what makes Hilton Head so unique.
A dog friendly boat, get all the time you need watching dolphins as they spend their days cruising the waters. See Hilton Head’s storied landmark, the Harbourtown Lighthouse from the water. Cross over to the other side of the Sound and see Daufuskie Island.
You'll have a chance to see other creatures that call the Lowcountry home; mobula rays jumping, sharks and manatees making cameos, sea turtles coming up for a breath of air. Hundreds of species of birds that make their way through their migratory periods.

5.00This was our second time with Capt Mark. Grandkids, 14 and 11, had a great time. So did grandma, grandpa and mom. Capt was amazing from explaining the sights and characteristics of the dolphins to our multiple dolphin encounters. And he introduced us to Garry who hangs around the pier. Marc is second to none! We’ll continue to go out with him.

5.00Captain Mark was fantastic! Our family had a great time. He’s so knowledgeable & really gave us a fun time. We all wished it was longer. We took a 9 yr old, 4 yr old, and 1 yr old. Thanks for a memorable experience!

5.00I cannot give enough praise about Captain Mark. He was knowledgeable and fun. My grandson is 11 and talks a lot! Mark was patient and engaging with him. Let him drive the boat and kept him entertained the entire trip. Will definitely book him again if we come back to Hilton Head.

5.00Mark was amazing and very knowledgeable. Showed us some very cool stuff. Saw lots of dolphins, osprey, Devil Rays, crabs. Showed us the salt marshes via waterways. Very nice guy. Comfortable boat. The kids loved it.

5.00I chose Cross Island Cruises because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews — and I’m glad I did! The tour was awesome! I went with my three sons and the boat ride was fun, we saw a ton of dolphin activity, and Captain Mark was knowledgeable and top notch!!! I really had such a great experience.

5.00Captain Mark is a super nice, super knowledgeable captain. He made the trip fun for everyone. Aged 9-75. We saw dolphins up close, his crab pot and crab catch. Beautiful scenery. History of area. A side trip for kids to get shells. A very personal tour tailored to our group. Price is extremely reasonable. You’d pay the same price for a big impersonal tour in a boat that couldn’t go places Captain Marks boat can go. Highly recommend !
